WATER PRO-RATA FUND AND SEWER PRO-RATA FUND'; PRO-VIDING EXCEPTIONS SO THAT SAID POLICY SHALL BE ESTABLISHED AS PROVIDED HEREIN, n THEREBY AMENDING SECTION 8 SO AS 'ro EXEMPT ALL PROPERTY HAVING ADEQUATE EXIST-ING WATER SERVICE AND SEWER SERVICE MAINS PRIOR TO APRIL 1, 1952, FROM THE PRO-VISIONS OF THE PRO-RATA CHARGE._ WHEREAS, certain portions of the City of Lubbock have existing water ser-vice mains and sanitary sewer service mains which were installed b.Y the City of Lubbock prior to April 1, 1952; and, ·WHEREAS, it is found that the exemption of this property fr0m the pro-rata charges will be in the public interest and better serve public necessity, co~ venience and welfare; IDW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT Section 8 of Ordinance 1521 BE, and the same is hereby amended so as to hereafter provide as follows: "SECTION 8. Existing Lines E?cempt. All property having existing water service mains and sanitary sewer service mains installed by the City of Lubbock prior to April 1, 1952, shall be exempt from the pro-rata charges for service from sueh ·existing service nains. Where extension of mains is required to properly serve said property, then the terms of this ordinance shall govern.• A N D I T I S S 0 0 R D E R E D.
