W HER'EAS , in the interest of public safety, changed traffic conditions,
business. loading and unloading requirements making imperative the immediate
changes in the establishment of freight•loa.ding zonesr THEREFORE.
BE IT ORDAINltD BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. Tba* . Freigbt•Loading ZoneaBE, and are hereby established!
in the following loc:ations:
(a) On tKe East side of the 1500 Block of Avenue 0. thirty-five (35) feet
No-rth of the alley in this block and e~ending North a distance of
sixteen (16) feet.
{b) On the West side of the Z800 Block of Avenue H, beginning 180 fed
North of Texas Avenue and extending North a distance of fourteen
(14) feet.
(c) On the Nozih side of the 700 Block of Broadway, beginning at the
North-Bouth alley in this block and extending West a distance of
nineteen (19) fee-t. This Loading Zone will occupy the present loca ...
tion of Meter No. 1Z .. 7-1Z.
SECTION z. That that part of any ordinance or order in conflict herewith
is hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. That the Traffic Engineer ia hereby authorized and directed
to cause. the curbs in the above described zones to be painted and such zones
plainly marked as. Loading Zones.
SECTION 4. Due to the changing traffic conditions, creating a hazard
injurious to the public and the publlcts use of the streets, the en.a.ctment of
this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure,. thereby creating' a
public necessity tha*-the rule requiring propose d ordinances to be presented
at two (Z} separate Commiat&ion meetings be dispensed with; and this ordinance
shall be effective from the date of its pasaage, as provided by law.
SECTION 5. The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to
have the descriptive caption of this. ordinance published, as provided by law.
