AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 661 AND THE
OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE
FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONING CASE NO. 472 -CHANGE LOTS 13 THROUGH
24, BLOCK 11, AND LOTS 13 THROUGH il, BLOCK ll, O'NEALL TERRACE,
AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK; THE NORTH ONE•HALF OF
BLOCK ONE, NELLIE JARRETT ADDITION; A TRACT OF LAND SOUTH OF
34TH STREET AND WEST OF AVENUE "S, 11 DESCRIBED BY METES AND
BOUNDS IN THE BODY O'F THIS ORDINANCE; AND A TRACT OF LAND SIT-
UATED SOUTH OF 34TH STREET AND EAST OF AVENUE 11S, 11 DESCRIBED
BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE, FROM THEm.
PRESENT ZONING-TO THE "F-111 ZONING DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the proposed change in Zoning Districts as hereinafter
made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its
recom,nendation, which recom1nendation was received by the City Commission,
and, after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the pro-
posed change as hereinafter aet out ~ill be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amend-
ment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as
giving all notices in compliance with Section 25 of Ordinance No. 661, as amend-
ed, as well a .s notices provided by Article 1011£, Revised Civil Statutes, as
amended in 1953, and notice was duly published on April 25, 1954 in the Lubbock
Morning Avalanche, and the public hearing, according to said notice was held at
2:00P.M. on May 13, 1954 in the City Commission Room on the first floor of
the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of
the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined
that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the
Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in substantial compliance with
the proposal; THERE FORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMiSSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 661 and the Official Zoning Map BE,
and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 472 .. Change the following described property from
the present zoning to the "F-111 Zoning District:
Lots Thirteen ( 13) through Twenty-Four (24 ), Block Eleven ( 11 ), and
Lots Thirteen (13} through Twenty .. One (Zl), Block Twelve (12), O'Neall
Terrace, an addition to the City of Lubbock;
The North One•half (N/1/Z) of Block One (I), Nellie Jarrett Addition; and,
A TRACT of land South of 34th Street and West of Avenue S, more puti-
cularly described as follows:
The inclosed property BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the
West right•of .. way line of Avenue Sand the South right ... of-way line of
34th Street1
THENCE South 180 feet to a point;
P. 2.
THENCE West along the line 18.0 feet. South and parallel to the
South line of 34th Street to a point in the East line of Block One {1),
Nellie Jarrett Addition;
THENCE North 180 feet to the South right ... o£-way line of 34th
Street;
THENCE East along the South right-of-way line of 34th Street to
the PLACE OF BEGIN'NING; and~
A TRACT of land situated South of 34th Street and East of AvenueS,
more particularly described as follows:
The inclosed property BEGINNIN'G at the Northeast corner of
Lot Three {3)$ Stubbs Subdivision;
THENCE South 2.24. 5 feet to a point;
THENCE West 105 feet to a point in the centerline of Avenue R;
THENCE North 7. 5 feet·to a point;
THENCE West 290 feet to the centerline of Avenue S;
' THENCE North 2.17 feet·to a point in the South right-ofoorway line
of 34th Street;
THENCE East along the South right-of-way line of 34th Street to
the PLACE OF BEGINNIN"G.
SECTION 2.. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this
Ordinance said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 (One)
hereof shall be changed to the Zoning District indicated, and the Official
Zoning Map is here by amended in accordance herewith.
AND IT IS · SO ORDERED.

reading this 18th day of May, 1954, by the following vote:
