AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 661 AND THE
OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE
FOLLOWING CHANGES: (1) ZONING CASE NO. 466-CHANGE THE NORTH
ONE-HALF OF BLOCK 1, T. W. MORRIS SUBDIViSION FROM THE "B" TO
THE "F-111 ZONING DISTRICT (34TH STREET AND KNOXVILLE AVENUE);
{2.) ZONING CASE NO. 467 -CHANGE LOT 5 AND WEST 40 FEET OF LOT 4,
' BLOCK 1, MYRTLE SLATON ADDITION, FROM THE "B" TO "F-1" ZONING
DISTRICT {34TH STREET AND JOUET A VENUE); (3") •ZONING CASE N0.468 -
CHANGE LOTS J, 2., 3, AND THE EAST ZO FEET OF LOT 4, BLOCK 1,
MYRTLE SlAT,DN ADDITION, FROM THE 11B11 TO "F-1" ZONING DISTRICT
{34TH STREET AND JOLIET AVENUE}; AND {4) ZONING CASE NO. 469 •
CHANGE LOTS 2.2. AND 2.3, BLOCK 5, FLYNN PLACE, FROM THE 11F 11 TO
THE "H11 ZONING DISTRICT (34TH STREET AND AVENUE J}.
WHEREAS, the proposed changes in Zoning Districts as hereinafter
made have been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its
recommendation, which recom1nendation was received by the City Commis-
sion, and, after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the
proposed changes as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid am.end-
ment to the Zoning Ordinance and M:ap have been fully complied with, as well as
giving all notices in compliance with Section 2.5 of Ordinance No. 661, as
amended, as well as notices provided by Article 1011£, Revised Civil Statutes,
as amended in 1953, and notice was duly published on March 9, 1954 in the
Lubbock Morning Avalanche, and the public hearing, according to said notice
was held at 2.:00 P.M. on March 2.5, 1954 in the City Commission Room on the
first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared
in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commie-
sion determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions
that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in substantial com-
pliance with the proposal; THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMlSSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 661 and the Official Zoning Map BE,
and the same are hereby am•ended as follows, to-wit:
{1} ZONE CASE NO. 466 -Change the North One-Half (N. 1/2.) of
Block One (1), T. W. Morris Subdivision, from the "B" to "F-1"
Zoning District (34th Street and Knoxville Avenue).
(2.) ZONE CASE NO. 467 -Change Lot Five {5) and the West forty
{W 4o) feet of Lot Four (4), Block One (1), Myrtle Slaton Addition,
from the uB" to "F-1" Zoning District (34th Street and Joliet Avenue).
(3) ZONE CASE NO. 468-Change Lots One (1), Two {2.), Three (3),
and the East twenty (E 2.0) feet of Lot Four {4), Block One {1), Myrtle
Slaton Addition, from the uB" to "F•111 Zoning District {34th Street
and Joliet Avenue ). ..
(4) ZONE CASE@. 469 -Change Lots Twenty-Two (2.2.) and Twenty-
Three {2.3),. Block Five (5}, Flynn Place, from the "F11 to the "H"
Zoning District (34th Street and Avenue J).

From and after passage and effectiv-e date of this Ordinance, said tracts
above referred to shall he changed to the Zoning Districts indicated, and the
Official Zoning Map is hereby amended in accordance herewith.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
