AUTHORIZING PAI~ItiZ OF CURBS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. W HE R E A S, in the interest of public safety, changed traffic conditions, business loading and unlooding requirements make imperative immediate changes in the establishment of ..!night-loading zones; N 0 w, T H E R E F 0 R E, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: . . SECTION 1. That Freight-Loading Zones BE, and are hereby established in the following locations: A. On the Ea.l!lt side of the 1200 block: of College Avenue, beginning at a point 72 feet North of 1.3th Street and extending North a distance of 24 feet. B. On the East side of the 1100 block of College Avenue, beginning 50 feet South of Main Street and extending South a distance of 12 feet. C. On t he North side · of the 900 block of lOth Street, 80 D. ¢~fJ, feet East of Texas Avenue and extending East a distance of 20 feet. On the East side of the ]200) 1Uook of College A venue, beginning 00 feet South of 2nd Place and extendi.ng South a distance of 11 feet. SECTION 2. That, that part of aQY ordinance or order in conflict herew1 th is hereby repealed. SECTION .3. That the Tre.ffio Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to cause the curbs in the above described zones to be painted and such zones plainly marked ae Loading Zones. ~ . SECTION 4. Due to the changing traffic Conditions creating a hazard injurious to the public and the public's use of the etreete, the enactment of thie ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure, thereby creating a public necessity that the rule requiring proposed ordinances to be presented at two {2) separate Commission meetings be dispensed vi.th, and this ordinance shall be effective from the date of its pasl!lage, as provided by law. ......._-:"' SECTION 5.
