I ;;2-I 0-1C1 53 ORDJNANCE NO. 1510 AN ORDJNANCE ESTABLISHING A FREIGHT-LOADING ZONE ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE 1100 :ijLOCK OF MAIN STREET, BEGINNING AT A POJNT 121 FEET EAST OF AVENUE 11 K'' AND EXTENDING EAST A DIS• TANCE OF 24 FEET; REPEA.LJNG ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE• WITH; AUTHORIZING PAJNTING OF CURBS; AND DECLARJNG AN EMER• GENCY. WHEREAS, in the interest of p_p.blic safety, changed traffic conditions and business loading and unloading requirements make imperative immediate changes in the esta.blistunent of freight•loading zones; THEREFORE. B~ IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. That a Freight-Loading Zone BE, and the same is hereby established at the following location: A. On the South side of the 1100 Block of Main Street, beginning at a point .121 feet East of Avenue K and extending East a distance of twenty-four (24) feet. SECTION 2. That part of any ordinance or order in conflict herewith is hereby repealed. SECTION 3. That the Traffic Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to cause the curbs in the above described zone to be painted and such zone plainly mar ked as a loading zone. · SECTION 4. Due to the changing traffic conditions creating a hazard injurious to the public and the public 1s use of the streets, the enactment of this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure, thereby creating a public necessity that the rule requiring proposed ordinances to be presented at two {2) separate meetings be dispensed with; and this Ordinance shall be effective from the date of its passage, as provided by law. AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
