ID-og-/q5'3 OftJ)INANCE NO. 1471 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING LOADlNG ZONES ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE 3200 BLOCK OF 34TH STREET, BEGINNING 250 FEET EAST OF HARTFORD AVENUE AND EXTENDING EAST A DISTANCE OF 24 FEET; ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE 1200 :BLOCK OF AVENUE F, BEGIN'NING 66 e, FEET NORTH OF 13TH STREET AND EXTENDING NORTH FOR A DISTANCE OF 24 FEET; AND ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE 900 BLOCK OF lOTH STREET,. BEGINNING 72 FEET EAST OF TEXAS AVENUE AND EXTENDrnG EAST FOR A DISTANCE OF 22 FEET, REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AUTHORIZING PAINTrnG OF CURBS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, in the interest of public safety, changed traffic conditions, business loading and unloading requirements make imperative immediate changes in the establishment of freight .. loading zones; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. That Freight-Loading Zones BE, and are hereby established in the following locations: A. On the South side of the 3200 Block of 34th Street, beginning 250 feet East of Hartford Avenue and extending East a distance of 24 feet. B. On the West side of the 1200 Block of Avenue F, · beginning 66 feet North of 13th Street and extending North for a distance of 24 feet. c. On the North side of the 900 Block of lOth Street, beginning 72 feet East of Texas Avenue and extending East for a distance of 22 feet. SECTION 2. That,that part of any ordinance or order in conflict herewith is. here by repealed. SECTION 3. That the Traffic Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to cause the curbs in the above described zones to be painted and such zones plainly marked as Loading Zones. SECTION 4. Due to the changing traffic conditions creating a hazard injurious to the public and the public1s use of the streets, the enactment of this ordinance is declared to be an emergency .measure, thereby creating a public necessity that the rule requiring proposed ordinances to be presented at two (z) separate Commission meetings be dispensed with, and this ordinance shall be effective from the date of its passage, as provided by law. AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
