WHEREAS, the City Commission bas adopted the recommendations of the City Traffic Engineer making certain changes in parking on certain streets in the City of Lubbock; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCKs :]}-'( ;~"' ~, /)plj~e SECTION 1. That Section 8 (Eight) of Ordinance No. 564 be amended as 'ld tz.{J follows: . r t!t '6-y a liz, That in the following described portions of streets all vehicles shall be parked with both right wheels of the vehicle within eighteen inches (18") of the curbs 1. On the North side of 15th Street between Avenue G and the alley West of Avenue H. 2. On the South side of 15th Street between Avenue G '· and the alley West of Avenue H. 3. On the South side of 14th Street betwen Avenue G and Avenue H. 4. On the North side of 14th Street between Avenue G and Avenue H.
5. On the East side of Avenue G between Broadway and
13th Street.
6. On the Vest side of Avenue G between Broadway and
13th Street.
smTION 2. That the City Traffic Engineer shall cause the curbs and
streets to~be painted clearly indicating that the above described portions of
streets ~7Parallel parking.
SECTION 3. That part or provision of any ordinance or order in conf'lict
with this Ordinance is hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate acy
provision of this Ordinance shall, upon conviction, be fined in any sum not to
exceed $200.00.
SECTION 5. The City Secretary is hereby directed to cause publication
of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance together with the penalty clause
1 {: herein provided as an a1 terna ti ve as provided by law.

SECTION 6. That the enactment of this Ordinance, being necessary to
the public safety and to provide tor a greater usa or the public streets is
declared to be an emergency measure, thereby creating a public necessity that

the rule requiring proposed ordinances to be presented at two (2) separate
meetings be dispensed with and this Ordinance shall be effective from the date
of publication as herein provided.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
