" AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING NO-PARKING ZONES ON THE NORTH SIDE OF TENTH STREET, BEGINNING AT AVENUE "Q" AND EXTENDING EAST A DISTANCE OF 250 FEET, 4-AND ON THE NORTH SIDE OF TENTH STREET, BEGIBNING AT AVENUE "R" AND EXTENDING . EAST TO THE ALLEY EAST OF AVENUE "R"; AUThORIZING PAINTING OF CURBS AND ERECTION OF SIGNS; PROVIDING A PENALTYi REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION; AND DEnLARING AN El-ERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBO(l{: Jl /.yc; 7 --r-' SIOOTION 1. That No-Parking Zones BE', and are hereby established on the I o following described portions of streets and it shall hereafter be unlawful for 7 ~ JJJ any person operating, driving or in control of a vehicle to allow, perm! 1; or 4 ' ~/. suffer such vehicle to be parked in the portions of streets hereinafter described ~ 1 as constituting the No-Parking Zones • .J~~;~-Ii (Jc>t~e_ /:) SECTION 2. · Those portions of streets referred to in Section l (One) of this Ordinance are as followss ~ A. On the North side of Tenth (loth) Street, beginning at Avenue Q and extending East a distance of 250 feet. B. On the North side of Tenth (lOth) Street, beginning at Avenue R and extending East to the alley East of Avenue R. SECTION 3. That the Chief of Police is authorized and directed to paint the curbs and erect signs indicating No-Parking Zones consistent with the pro-visions of this Ordinance. SIDTION 4. A.n:¥ person who shall permit or suffer any vehicle operated, driven or controlled b.y him to be parked in the areas described in Section 2 (Two) of this Ordinance shall, upon conviction, be fined in any sum not exceeding $200.00. SECTION 5. That all portions of other ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 6. That the City Secretary is hereb.y authorized and directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance together with the penalty clause as an alternative method provided by law. SECTION 7. That due to the changing of traffic conditions creating a hazard injurious to the public and the public r s use of the streets, the enactment of this Ordinance is dedared to be an emergency measure thereby creating a public necessity that the rule requiring proposed ordinances to be presented at two (2) separate Commission Meetings be dispensed with and this Ordinance shall be effecti from the date of its passage as provided qy lav.
