"'·''-~· ,JL. . 2\ ~ l' i 125 FEET; AUTHORIZING PAU\TTING OF CURBS AND ERECTION OF SIGNS; PROVIDING A PENALTY; REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. f ·' t ' PJ.~ .. 7--:t BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: £.$~.~-:J fl/t ~:z. SECTION 1. That No-Parking Zones BE and are hereby established on C/f' the following described portions of streets, and it shall hereafter be unlawful L:. y ,. ,·Jt.-~ , for any person operating, driving, or in control of a vehicle to allow, permit (...!. :/ --'1 or suffer such vehicle to be parked in the portions of streets hereinafter · described as constituting the No-Parking Zones. SECTION 2. That those portions o£ streets referred to in Section 1 {One) of this Ordinance are as follows: A. On the South side of 15th Street beginning at a point on Avenue T and extending East along 15th Street a distance of 125 feet .. t B. On the North side of 15th Street beginning at a point on Avenue T and extending West along 15th Street 'a distance of 12? feet. C. On the South side of 15th Street beginning at a point on Avenue Q and extending East along 15th Street a distance of 125 feet. SECTION 3. That the Chief o£ Police is authorized and directed to paint the curbs and erect signs indicating No-Parking Zones consistent with the pro- visions of this Ordinance. SECTION 4. Any person who shall permit or suffer any vehicle operated, drivent or controlled by him to be parked in the areas described in Section 2 {Two) of this Ordinance shall., upon conviction, be fined in any sum not exceed- ing Two Hundred Dollars ($200). SECTION 5. That all portions of other ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 6. The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance together with penalty clause, as an alternative method provided by law. SECTION 7. That due to the changing traffic conditions 1 creating a hazard injurious to the public and the public's use o£ the streets, the enactment of J u P. Z this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure, thereby creating a public necessity that the rule requiring proposed ordinances to be presented at two (Z) separate Commission meetings be dispensed with, and this Ordin- ance shall be effective from the date of its passage, as provided by law. AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
