ORDINANCE NO. 1336 ·-------
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE REMOVAL OF PARKING NETER NO. l'-ll-2.3;
REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORD~ANCES; AND DECLARING AN EM&RGENCY. .

olice Chi f WHEREAS, the establishment of loading zones at various locations in the

WHEREAS, the Cit.y Commission has passed ordinances establishing a parking
meter zone and authorizing the placing of meters in that area, it is necessary to
remove said parking ~•tel.l."; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
S&:TION 1. That Traffic Engineer be, and he hereby is authorized to
cause due removal or Parking Meter No. K-1J.,..23.
SOOTION 2. The parking mater~authorized to be removed by provision or

duly chepked and accounted for, shall be reconditioned and renumbered for use at
other locations.
~TION .3. That part or the provision of anf ordinance or order in con-
flict with this Ordinance is hereb.y repealed.
SECTION 4. Due to the changing traffic conditions creating a hazard
injurious to the public and the public's use ot the streets, the enactment or this
Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure thereby creating a public neoessit
that the rule requiring proposed ordinances to be presented at two (2) separate mee
ings be dispensed with and this Ordinance shall be ef'fecti ve from the date of its
passage as provided by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
On motion of Commissioner Davis , seconded by Commis-
sioner Morris ' , this Ordinance was passed this 11 dey ot
