AN ORDINANCE .AME:WDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 661 AND THE
OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE
FOLLOWING C HANGES: (1) ZONING CASE 11410 -CHANGE LOTS 1 THROUGH
6t BLOCK 223, AND LOTS 1 THROUGH 6, BLOCK 224~ ORIGINAL TOWN,
FROM A 11C 11 APARTMENT DISTRICT TO AN "H" BUSINESS DISTRICT (BOTH
SIDES OF 1800 BLOCK ON AVENUE 0); AND {2) ZONING CASE 1#413-
CHANGE LOTS 16 THROUGH 18, BLOCK 1, BURLESON-OSBORN HEIGHTS
ADDITION, FROM AN 11A 11 RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO AN 11F 11 BUSINESS
DISTRICT {CLOVIS ROAD AND DETROIT AVENUE).
WHEREAS, the proposed changesin Zoning Districts as hereinafter made
have been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recom-
mendation, which recommendation w~ received By the City Commission, and,
after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the proposed
changes as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, all notices have been giyen in compliance with Section 25 of
Ordinance No. 661, as well as notices provided by Article 10llft Revised Civil
Statutes, as amended, and notice was duly published on December 19, 20t and
21, 1952 in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche, and the public hearing,~: aceordin~
to said notice, was held at 1:30 P.M. on January 8, 1953 in the City Commission
Ro01n on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons
appeared in support of the proposals; and, after said hearing it was by the City
Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed
con<li.otions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in sub-
stantial compliance with the proposals; THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE. CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 661 and the Official Zoning Map BE,
and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
(1) Zoning Case 1410 -Change Lots One {1) through Six (6), Block
223, and Lots One (1) through Six (6), Block 224, Original Town,
from a 11C 11 Apartment District to an "H11 Business District {both
sides of 1800 Block on Avenue 0).
(2) Zoning Case 1413 -Change Lots Sixteen (16) through Eighteen {18),
Block One (1}, Burleson-Osborn Heights Addition, from an 11A 11 Resi-
dential District to an "F11 Business District {Clovis Road and Detroit
Avenue).
From and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance, said tracts
above referred to shall be changed to the Zoning Districts indicated, and the
Official Zoning Map is hereby amended in accordance herewith ..
AND IT JS SO ORDERED.
