WHEREAS, the proposed changesin Zoning Districts as hereinafter made have been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recom- mendatio~ whicll!: r•c<.mmend&.~.wa·s.'f·rec;ei~ed l;>y the City Commission, and, after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the proposed changes as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS, all notices have been given in compliance with Section 25 of Ordinance No. 661, as well as notices provided by Article 1011£$ Revised 1. 0 . C~ P. z I Civil Statutes, as amended. and notice was duly published on December 14, 15~ and 16, 195Z in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche,, and the pu'Qlic bearing, accord ing to said notice, was held at Z:OO P. M. on January 8, 1953·in t'Qe City Com- mission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the propoeal a.nd several persons appeared in person to p~otest against the recommen~ed change in zoning wi.th respect to property in Bl~cks Ten (10) and Eleven (1.~), Roles A c;res, which previously had been placed in their present classification upon application of the owners and after due n~tices had been given as provided 'tly law; and the ~ommission finds that the classification of substantially all a£ said pro,perty referred to by the protesta.nts should not be changed and should be deleted bom the recom- mended change, and after said hearing it was by tb:e City Commission deter- mined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, EXCEPT as to Blocks Ten {lQ) and Eleven (11),, Roles Acres, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zeni·ng Map be axn-ended in sqbstantlal\compliance with the recommendationJ THEREFORE. B.E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1.
