AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING ON BOTH SIDES OF 23RD STRBET BE~~
TEXAS AVENUE AND AVENUE "JU; AUTHORIZING PL~NG OF UNIFORM SIGNS; PROVIDING
A PENALTY; REPEALING COJ:-J""FLICTING PROVISIONS'f?'AUTHORIZING PUBLICA'FION OF THE 'X
DESCRIPTIVE CAPTION OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CI'.UY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK~
SECTION 1. !t shall hereafter be unlawful for any person, firm or
corporation to suffer, allow or parmi t the parking of any motRr vehicle at any
time on either the north side or the south side of 23rd Street between its
intersections with Texas Avenue and Avenue 11Jtt.
SECTION 2. The provisions of any ordinanc'B in conflict l>Tith the pro-
vision of Section 1 {One) of this Ordinance are hereby modified and repealed
i n so far as they may affect that part of the Street designated.
SECTION 3. The office in charge of traffic matters is hereby
authorized and directed to paint the curbs along the area described in Section
1 (One) of this Ordinance and to place uniform signs consistent with the pro-
visions of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4. Any parson violating the provisions of this Ordinance s~ll,
upon conviction, be guilty of a misdemeanor and fined in any sum not exceeding
'J.\.10 Hundred and N0/100 ($200.00) Dollars.
SECTION 5. The City Secretary is directed to publish the descriptive caption of this Ordinance together vri th penalty clause as provided by laws.
