AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING ADDITIONAL LOADING ZONES ON
THE SOUTH SlPE OF 20TH STREET, THE NORTH SIDE OF 21ST STREET,
THE NORTH SIDE OF 17TH STREET, AND THE NORTH SIDE OF BR.OADWf\. YJ
AND DECLAR~G AN EMERGENCY.
·wHEREAS, changed traffic conditions, school and business loading and
unloading requirements require immediate changes for loading purposes in the
interest of public safety; THEREFORE•
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION l. That loading zones BE, and the same are hereby established
in the following locations:
(l) A sixty-foot (60') loading zone on the South side of 20th Street,
said loading zone beginning at .a . point in the South curb line of
20th Street twenty feet {201} West of its intersection with Avenue T;
thence West a distance of sixty feet (60').
(2) A sixty-foot (60') loading zone on the North side of 21st Street,
beginning at a point in the North curb line of said 21st Street, said
point being twenty feet (201) West of its intersection with Avenue T;
thence West a distance of sixty feet (601).
(3) A forty•four foot (44') loading zone on the North side of 17th
Street in the 900 Block thereof, beginning at a point in the North
curb line of said 17th Street, said point being twenty-eight feet
{281) East of the North-South alley through said 900 Block; thence
East a distance of forty-four feet (44')•
(4) A seventy-foot (701) loading zone on the North side of Broadway
in the 1300 Block thereof, beginning at the West property line of
Avenue Land extending West along the North curb of said 1300 Block
Broadway, a distance of seventy feet {701} by meter location Nos.
12-13-~, 12-13-4, and 12-13-6.
SECTION 2. That part of any ordinance or resolution in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance is hereby repealed, and authority is here granted
to remove the meters at space Nos. 12-13-2, 12-13-4, and 12-13-6.
SECTION 3. Authority is here granted, and the office in charge of
traffic matters is directed to paint the curb along the areas hereinabove desig-
nated, and to place such uniform signs as may be provided.
The provisions of this ordinance shall become effective from and after its
passage.
