; AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING RFXIVAL OF PARK1NG METER NOo 12-7-2; REPEALING

ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCI!5; AND DPX;LARING AN EMERG»iCY.
WHEREAS, the establishment of a loading zone to occupy meter space
No. 12-7-2 is necessary to the public safety and will provide a greater use of
the public streets, and it is thereby necesaaey that such parking meter be removed;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCKa
SECTION 1. That the Traffic Engineer be, and be hereby is authorise(!
to cause due removal of Parking Meter No. 12-7-2.
SECTION 2. The Parking Meter authorized to be removed by provision or
Section 1 (One) of this Ordinance, after all money contained in the Meter has
been duly checked and accounted for, shall be reconditioned and renumbered for use
at other locations.
S»JTION 3. That part or the provision or any ordinance or order 1n
conflict with this Ordinance is hereby4 repealed.
SIDTION 4. Due to the changing traffic conditions creating a hazard
injurious to the public and the publiota uss of the streets, the enactment of
this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure thereby creating a publico
necessity that the rule requiring proposed ordinances to be presented at two (2)
separate meetings be dispensed with and this Ordinance shall be effective from
the date of its passage as provided by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
