AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 661 AND THE
OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE
FOLLOWING CHANGES: (1) ZONING CASE f372-CHANGE A TRACT OF
LAND BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF BLOCK 9, LUBBOCK
VIEW ADDITION; THENCE EAST 200 FEET TO A POINTi THENCE NORTH
300 FEET TO A POINT1 THENCE WEST ZOO FEET TO A POINT IN THE WEST
LINE OF BLOCK 9, LUBBOCK VIEW ADDITION; THENCE SOUTH WITH THE
WEST LINE OF BLOCK 9 TO THE PLACE OF BEGINNING FROM AN "A"
DISTRICT TO A "B11 DISTRICT (LOCATED AT FLINT AVENUE AND 40TH
STREET); (2) ZONING CASE 1378 -CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND BEGINNING
AT THE CENTER LINE OF ELM AVENUE AND 33D STREET; THENCE WEST
ALONG THE CENTER LINE OF 33D STREET TO THE CENTER LINE OF
DATE AVENUE! THENCE SOUTH ALONG THE PROJECTED LINE OF DATE
AVENUE TO A POINT 150 FEET NORTH OF THE NORTH LINE OF 34TH
STREET; THENCE EAST TO THE CENTER LINE OF ELM AVENUE; THENCE
NORTH ALONG THE CENTER LINE OF ELM AVENUE TO THE PLACE OF
BEGINNING, FROM A 11J 11 DISTRICT TO AN "L" DISTRICT {LOCATED AT
ELM AVENUE AND 33D STREET); (3) ZONING CASE f379 -CHANGE LOTS 1,
2. 3 , 4, AND 5 OF THE BULLARD ADDITION FROM AN 11A 11 DISTRICT TO AN
11H11 DISTRICT {LOCATED AT BRdWNFIELD ROAD AND 26TH STREET; AND
(4) ZONING CASE f381 -CHANGE LOTS 2 AND 4 IN BLOCK 1, WOOD
PETERSON ADDITION, FROM A 110 11 DISTRICT TO AN 11H" DISTRICT (LOCA-
TED AT CLOVIS ROAD AND CORNELL STREET).
WHEREAS. the proposed changes in Zoning Districts as hereinafter made
have been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recom-
mendation, which recommendation was received by the City Commission, and,
after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the proposed
changes as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, all notices have been given in compliance with Section 25 of
Ordinance 661, as well as notices provided by Article 1011£, Revised Civil
Statutes, as amended, and notice was duly published on June 10, 11, and 12.
1952 in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche, and the public hearing, according to
said notice, was held at 2:30 P.M. -on June 26, 1952, in the City Commission
Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock. Texas. at which time per-
sons appeared in support of the proposals and, after said hearing, it was by
the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to
changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended
in substantial compliance with the proposals, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. That ()rdinance No. 661 and the Official Zoning Map BE,
and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
(1} Zoning Case 1372 -Change a tract of land beginning at the Southwest
corner of Block Nine (9), Lubbock View Addition' Thence East ZOO feet
to a pointJ Thence North 300 feet to a point; Thence West ZOO feet to a
point in the West line of Block Nine (9), Lubbock View Addition;
Thence South with the West line of Block Nine (9) to the place of
beginning, from an 11A 11 District to a 11B 11 District (Located at Flint
Avenue and 40th Street).
(Z) Zoning Case 1378 -Change a tract of land beginning at the center line
of ~lm Avenue and 33d Street; Thence West along the center line of
33d Street to the center line of Date Avenue; Thence South along the
projected line of Date Avenue to a point 150 feet north of the north
line of 34th Street; Thence East to the center line d Elm Avenue;
Thence North along the center line of Elm Avenue to the place of begin-
ning, from a "J" District to an 11L 11 District. (Located at Elm Avenue
and 33d Street.)
(3) Zonin! Case 1379 ... Change Lots One (1), Two (2.), Three (3), Four ·
· (4), an Five (5) of the Bullard Addition from an "Au District to an
"H" District. {Located at Brownfield Road and 26th Street.)
{4) .Zoning Case f381 -Change Lots Two (Z) and Four {4) in Block One
(1}, Wood Peterson Addition, from a 11Gu District to an 11H11 District.
(Located at Clovis Road and Cornell Street.)
From and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance, said tracts
above referred to shall be changed to the Zoning Districts indicated and the
Official Zoning Map is hereby· amended in accordance herewith.

PROPOSED AMENDMENTSTO Zll'JING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS
NOTICE is hereby given that the Planning Commission has recommended to the
City Commission that Zoning Ordinap.ce Noo 661 be amended so that:
1. ZONrnG CASE #372 -Change a tract of land beginning at the
Southwest corner of Block 9, Lubbock View Addition; Thence
{ast 200 feet to a point; Thence North 300 feet to a point;

Peterson Addition from a 11G11 District to an nH11 District.
(Located at Clovis Road and Cornell Street).
The City Commission will hold a public hearing on June 26, 1952, at 2;30 o 1 clock
P. M. in the City Commission room on the first floor of the City Hall in Lubbock
to consi.der the recommendations of the Zoning and Planning Commission to deter-
mine the advisability of adopting its proposal; and at which time and place all
interested persons will be given an opportunity to proteot against the proposed
amendment or make recommendations in support thereof.
After said hearing, the City Commission will determine whether the Zoning Ordi-
nance will be amended in accordance with such recommendation.
