OlP-12 .. \SS \_!..Y,"'l-· ¥ l ~ · · · tJ~rr J · · '· ORDINANCE NO. 12SJ \J "", AN ORDINAimE ESTABLISHING A BUS LOADING ZONE ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF 'l'HIR· TEENTH (13th) STREET, BEGINNING AT THE ALLEY BETWEEN TEXAS AVENUE AND AVENUE J AND EXTENDED THiffi'Y FEET (.301) WEST; AND REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORDINAl\1CES • .. WHEREAS, aa the City Traffic Engineer has recommended certain changes in the location of uptown bus loading area;; and public necessity and convenience re-qui1•e the establishment or such areas to conform to a master street use plan for handling traffic, and the City Commission has passed ordinances necessary to re-move parking mete1•s from the new areas, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CTIY OF LUBBOOK: SECTION 1. That bus passenger loading and unloading zones be and the same are hereby designated and established as follows, to-wit& A. A space on the south side of Thirteenth (13th) Street, begin-ning at the alley between Avenue J and Texas Avenue and extend• ing weat a distance of thirty feet (301). SECTION 2. That the City Traffic Engineer be and is hereby authorized and directed to paint the curb and place signs designating such space as bus load• ing zone. SECTION 3. That part of the provision ot any ordinance or order in con-flict with this ordinance is hereby repealed. c SECTION 4• That the City Secretary is hereby directed to cause publica• tion of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method of pub-lication aa described by law. SECTION' '· That the enactment of this Ordinance, being necessary to the ublic safety and to provide for a greater use or the public street, is declared o be an emergency measure, thereby creating a public necessity that the rule re· .uiring proposed ordinanceeto be prGsented at two (2) separate meetings be dispensed .tith and this Ordinance shall be effective from the date of its publication as he rovided. AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
