TIHEREAS, the Citizen's Traffic Commission has made definite reco~~en
dations in the public interest to reduce traffic hazards, and the City Comnis-
sion findsthat the changes require changes proposed by this Ordinance which are
found to promote public safety, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUHISSIOlf OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTIOn 1. It shall hereafter be unlawful for any person, fir.m or
corporation to suffer, allow or permit the parking of ar~ vehicle at ru1y time
at the following locations:
(a)
(b)
West side of C9llege Avenue from 19th (Nine·teenth) Street
South to 24th ~Twenty-Fourth) Street.
On either side of Tenth (lOth) Street from Avenue ~ West
a distance of One Htmdred Twenty-Five feet (125').
(c) On either side of Tenth (lOth) Street from 4venu~ Q East
a distance of One Hundred Twenty-Five feet {125 1).
(d) On the South side of 15th (Fifteenth) Street from Avenue Q
West a distance of One Hundred Twenty-Five feet (125 1 ) and
on the North side of Oi'ifteenth) 15th Street at the curb
line from Avenue Q East a dis·tance of One Hundred feet (1001).
SECTION 2. It shall hereafter be unlawful for any person operating
a vehicle of any kind and traveling West on(Nineteenth) 19th Street to make a
left turn into Avenue U.
SECTION ). It shall be unlawful for any person operating a motor
vehicle of any kind to make a left turn from the College Campus at the Broadway
Exit onto College Avenue.
SECTION 4. The provisions of any ordinance in conflict with the pro-
visions of Sections One (1), Two (2) and Three (3) of this Ordinance are hereby
modified and repealed in so far as they affect that part of the streets designated.
SECTION 5. The Officer. in ~e of traffic is authorized and
directed to install uniform traffic control devices, signals and signs consistant '
with the provisions of this Ordinance, and to effect its purpose .and intent.
SECTION 6. Any person violating any of the provisions of Sections
One (1), Two (2) or Three (3) of this Ordinance shall, upon conviction, be guilty
of a misdemeanor and fined in aqy sum not exceeding Two Hundred and N0/100 ($200)
Dollars.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
