AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE "CITY OF LUBBOCK CE!,1ETERY FUND";
PROVIDING FOR DEPOSITS IN AND EXPEN8ITURES FROM SAID FUND; PROHIBITING USE
OF SAID FUNDS FOR OTHER PURPOSES; AND DECLARING AN Ef,,lERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Commission deems it desirable and in the public
interest that a special fund ~ be established to control all revenues
and disbursements relating to the Lubbock Cemetery, effective as of April 1,
1952, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COM!.ITSSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. The CITY OF LUBBOCK CEMETERY FUND is hereby created
and established to be a special fund for the receipt and disbursement of
all funds pertaining to the Lubbock Cemetery.
SECTIOU 2. All revenue from the sale of cemetery lots, &rave
services, miscellaneous cemetery receipts, all future budgeted and/or tax
funds relating to the cemetery, and the balance of any budgeted and/or
tax flUlds on hand, or in any manner accruing and relating to the cemetery,
shall be duly credl ted to and paid to the CITY OF LUBBOCK CEMETERY FUND.
SECTION J. No disbursenents shall be made from the CirY OF LUB-
BOCK CE)'iETERY Ftnm for any purpose except authorized operating expenses,
capital outlay expenditures, and commissions for lot sales, and all other
duly budgeted expense items and salaries.
SECTION 4. The fact that the subject matter of this Ordinance
deals with the daily operation of a department of the City and the auditing
of funds relating thereto creates an emergency requiring that this Ordinance
be passed as an emergency measure, and all rules re+ating to the reading
and passage of an ordinance on more than one day are hereby suspended, and
this Ordinance and its terms shall be effective as of April 1, 1952.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
On motion of Commissioner __ Carpenter , seconded by
Commissioner Thomas , this Ordinance was this 2!tth_ day
of April, 1952 duly passed as an emergency measure by the following vote:
