AND APPROPRIATING SPECIFIC SUMS OF MONEY TO BE PROPERLY USED UPON DEPOSIT IN THE "WATER AND SEWER PRO RATA FUNDu ESTABLISHED UNDER SAID ORDINANCE NO. 1190; AND DEC~ING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City Commission has passed an ordinance providing a new water and sanitary sewer extension policy and also creating a fund to be known as the 11Water and Sewer Pro Rata Funq11 and it is anticipated that it will be necessary for the City to use Water and/or Sewer Bond Funds in the construction of lines larger than eight inches {811) in diameter and for the con- struction of one. hundred feet (100') free extension and other extensions provided by Ordinance No. 1190, and the Commission is of the opinion that an allotment should be made out of available bond funds to be used in furtherance of the purposes stated in said Ordinance, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. That one Hundred Fifty Thousand and No/100 {$150) 000. 00) Dollars from available Water Bond Funds is hereby set aside, and One Hundred Fifty Thousand and No/100 {$150, 000. 00) Dollars from available Sanitary Sewer Bond Funds is hereby set aside to be used in the proper administration of Ordinance No. 1190, said funds not to be co-mingled. SECTION z. An appropriation out of the funds set aside in Section 1 (One} of this ordinance is hereby made to the 11Water and Sewer Pro Rata Fund11 in amounts as follows: $ __ 2_5_,_oo_o_.o_o ____ out of Sewer Bond Funds $ __ 2_5_,_oo_o_.o_o ____ out of Water Bond Funds SECTION 3. The fact that the City has recently been unable, due to the lack of fundst to make water and sewer extensions and that many such projects are now pending by property owners and the need exists to immediately make such extensions creates <n emergency, and this ordinance shall become effective from and after its passage. AND IT IS 50 ORDERED.
