FROM AN "A11 DISTRICT TO A "Ju DISTRICT (LOCATED ON THE SOUTHWEST --f.T · CORNER OF AVENUE P AND DUKE STREET).· 11 b .s-WHEREAS, the proposed changes in Zoning Districts as hereinafter made c have been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recom- mendation, which recommendation was received by the City Commission, and, after due consideration, the City Commission unanimously finds that making the proposed changes as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest, and, WHEREAS1 all notices have been given in compliance with Section 25 of Ordinance No. 661, as well as notices provided by Article 1011£, Revised Civil Statutes, as amended, and notice was duly published on November 10, 11, and 12, 1951, in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche, and the public hearing, aceording to said notice, was held at 2:00P.M. on November 26, 1951, in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in substan- tial compliance with the proposal~ THEREFORE, ... BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 661 and the Official Zoning Map BE, and the same is hereby amended as follows, to-wit: c c (1) Zoning Case 1314: Change a tract of land out of Section Eight (8), Block B, Lubbock Co':lllty, Texas, described as follows: Beginning at a one- half (1/2) inch iron pipe set 1980 feet West and thirty-seven {37) feet South of the Northeast corner of Section Eight (8), Block B, the Northeast corner of this tract; Thence South 152.6 feet to a point, the Southeast corner of this tract; Thence West 100 feet to a point, the Southwest corner of this tract; Thence ' North 152.4 feet parallel with the East line of this tract to a point, the North- west corner of this tract; Thence East 100 feet to the place of beginning, from an 11A" District to an 11H 11 District (located on the Southeast corner of 34th Street and Avenue G). (2) Zoning Case lf346: Change all of Block 1 {One) of Lyndale Acres from an 11At1 District to an 11F 11 District (located on the Southeast corner of Avenue H and 50th Street). · ' ,(3) Zoning Case 1347: Change a tract of land out of Section Seven (7), Block B, beginning at a point 69.2 feet North of and 116.4 feet West of the South- east corner of Section Seven {7), Block B; Thence North 2° 14fl West 895.1 feet; Thence West 478.7 feet; Thence South and parallel to the East line of Section Seven {7), Block B, 897 feet; Thence North 89° 53~ East along the North line of U. S. Highway No. 84, a distance of 513.6 feet to the place of beginning, from an 11A11 District to an "L11 District (located on the Northwest corner of Avenue A and 34th Street). (4) Zoning Case #349: Change the East one-half (E 1/2) of Block Eighty- Three (83), Roberts and McWhorter Addition from an 11A 11 District to a 11 J 11 District (located on the Southwest corner of Avenue P and Duke Street). ' From and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance, said tracts above referred to shall be changed to the Zoning Districts indicated and the Official Zoning Map is hereby amended in accordance herewith.
