ORDINANCE NO. 1125
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING AN AREA AND TERRITORY ABUTTING
AND ADJACENT TO THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, BEGINNING AT
THE CITY LIMITS AT THE INTERSECTION OF AVENUE 110 11 NORTHEAST AND
THE AMARILLO HIGHWAY; THENCE EXTENDING NORTH ALONG THE EAST
LINE OF THE AMARILLO HIGHWAY ABOUT TWO AND THREE-QUARTER
(2-3/4) MILES; THENCE EAST, NORTH, WEST, AND SOUTH TO INCLUDE THE
LUBBOCK MUNICIPAL AIRPORT AND INDUSTRIAL AREA OWNED BY THE CIT
OF LUBBOCK; THENCE SOUTH ALONG THE WEST LINE OF THE AMARILLO
HIGHWAY TO INTERSECT WITH THE CITY LIMITS, ALL AS DESCRIBED BY
METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR
PUBLICATION AND FINAL PASSAGE UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE aTY
OF LUBBOCK CHARTER, AND EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS AND CORPOR-
ATE BOUNDARIES OF THE<;ITY OF LUBBOCK CHARTER, AND EXTENDING
THE CITY LIMITS AND CORPORATE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK
TO INCLUDE SAID AREA.
WHEREAS. the City Commission has duly considered the need to extend
the City Limits North to include the Amarmo Highway to about the North property
line of the airport property and the industrial area owned by the City of Lubbock,
and finds that the public interest will be served by such extension, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
· SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described area and territory, upon the
second and final reading of this Ordinance, BE, and the same is hereby annexed
to and included within the corporate limits of the City of Lubbock, Slid area
being described by metes and bounds as follows, to-wit:
SECTION z. This Ordinance shall be forthwith published in a daily
newspaper published in the City of Lubbock, Texas, one time and shall not be
th~reafter finally acted upon until at least thirty (30) days have elapsed after
such publication, and if finally passed in its-present form, the boundary limits
of the City of Lubbock shall thereby be fixed to include the area, territory and
extension described in Section 1 of this Ordinance •

Beginning at a point, i-¥hich is the intersection of the East
right-of-way line of the Amarillo Road and the present City Limits
line; (point being 2193.6 feet East and 1879 feet North of South-
east corner of S.urvey 15, Block A) ; thence in a Northeas:terly direc-
tion along the East right-of-way line of the Amarillo Road as follows:
From the point of beginning N 22°101 E a distance of 950 feet
to a point; thence N 30°22' E a distance of 150 feet to a point; thence
N 22°22' E a distance of 252 feet to a point; thence N 30°221 E a dis-
tance of 200 feet to a point; thence along a curve to the right 80S
feet (D = 1°, R = 5655 feet) to a point, the bearing to this point
being N 34° 275' E; thence N 38°33' E a distance of 938 feet to a point;
thence N 45°25 1 E a distance of 200 feet to a goint; thence N 3S033 -' E
