AN ORDINANCE RELEASING AND AJTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
A RELEASE OF PAVING ASSESSMENTS ON PARTS OF 34 TH STREET, THE
RELEASE BEING LIMITED TO THE PROPERTY SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED
IN THIS ORDINANCE AND TO THE ASSESSMENTS MADE UNDER PAVING
ORDINANCE NO. 917, UNIT NO. 857, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 391,
PAGE 6, DEE.Q_RECOBDS OF I .UB.B,PCK COUNTY, TEXAS,
WHEREAS, since the pass~ge of Ordinance No. 917 on June 6, 1949,
many delays in connection with the project have been occasioned, due to the
annexation of areas in Southwest Lubbock, together with a general public
demand that 34th Street Right-of-Way be widened and the proposed paving be
widened from curb to curb, andJ
WHEREAS, the City Commission, pursuant to circumstances and in
the public interest, has jointly with the County of Lubbock arranged a paving
program adequate for 34th Street by other procedures~ which have resulted in
the abandonment of the assessment lien aiJainst property hereinafter specifi-
cally described Wlder Ordinance No. 917, f'HEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY <DMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the paving liens created by Ordinance No. 917 against the fol-
lowing described lots, tracts, or parcels of land are hereby in all things
released, and the Mayor is authorized to execute a release to be filed with
the County Clerk of Lubbock County, Texas, said property so released being
described as follows, to-wit:

This Release shall never be construed as in any manner affecting any
property or as releasing any property or as releasing any assessment or other
lien against any property not herein specifiically described, and all proceedings
and assessments under said Ordinance No. 917 relating to other property are
hereby reaf{irmed.
