AND 3:00P.M. ON WEEK DAYS AND BETWEEN 8:30A.M. AND lZ:OO A.M. ON ~TURDAYS; AUTHORIZING TEMPORARY STOPS FOR MAKING BANK DEPOSITS AT BOOTHSj PROVIDING ONE (1) HOUR TIME LIMIT PAR- ALLEL PARKING AT THE LOADING! ZONE BETWEEN 3:00P.M. AND 12:00 MIDNIGHT AND BETWEEN 6:00A.M. AND S:30 A.M. ; AUTHORIZING SIGNS REGULATING USE OF THE ZONE, PROVIDING A lENALTY, AND REPEAL- ING THAT PART OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; AUTHORIZING PUBLICA- TION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. A limited loading zone is hereby esta~lished on the South side of Main Street between the West line of Texas Avenue and the East line of the North-South alley between Texas Avenue and Avenue J, and it shall here- after be unlawful for any person to park any vehicle in that portion of Main Street constituting the loading zone, except as hereinafter p rovided. SECTION 2. Between the hours of 8:30a.m. and 3:00 p .m. on weekdays, and 8:30a.m. and 12:00 a.m. on Sattlrdays, attehded vehicles may stop tem- porarily for the purpose only of makiflg bank dep osits at booths, a nd the operators of such vehicles, after making deposits, shall imm ediately drive their vehicles out of the loading area. ~v:1j r::----' / -jl-t, p.,_J ' -~ V SECTION 3. Between the hours of 3:00p.m. and lZ:OO midni ght, and be- fl,/1'.t:.4 (JI,Rf'"tween the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 8:30a.m. of each day of the week, no vehicle l~ / u,.. ·( /~ shall be parked in the loading zone described in Section 1 of this Ordinance for -~ · ~ more than one (l) hour, and any such vehicle so parking .shall be parked parallel ~ , to the curb with the r1gbt front and rear wheels of said vehicle within twelve '~JL~~ 1 (12) inches of the curb or curb line. kJA.,,. ~I SECTION 4. The Chief of !Olice is authorized and directed to remove the parking meters from the loading zone area described in Section l, and to paint the curb to indicate a loading zone, and to erect signs and paint the loading zone curb consistent with the provisions of this Ordinance. SECTION 5. Any percson who shall :•ermit or suffer any vehicle operated, driven or controlled by him to be parked in the area described in Section 1 of this Ordinance in violation of the provisions of this Ordinance shall, upon con- I viction, be fined in any sum not exceeding Two Hundred Dollars ($200. 00). SECTION 6. All portions of other ordinances in conflict with the provi- sions of this Ordinance, insofar as such provisions apply to that part of Main Street described in Section 1 of this Ordinance, are hereby repealed. 0 .,) .I I L SECTICN 7. The City Secretary i s hereby directed to cause publi cati on of the descriptive ca:,tion of this Ordinance, together with the penalty clause (being Section 5) as an alternative provided by law.
