/'I AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 661 AND THE OF-
FICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOL-
LOWING CHANGES: (1) CHANGE LOTS 8, 9, 10, ll, BLOCK 4, WESTMINSTER
ADDITION, FROM AN "i\." DISTRICT TO A "B" DISTRICT; (Z) CHANGE LOT 1,
BLOCK 1, C. L. VAUGHN ADDITJON, FROM AN "A" DISTRICT TO A "J" DIS-
TRICT; (3) CHANGE LOTS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ~~ BLOCK 1, WHITEHEAD ADDITION,
FROM AN "A" DISTRIC:r TO A "G" DISTRICT; (4). CHANGE A TRIANGULAR
AREA OUT OF THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF BLOCK 83, MARKOWITZ SUB-
DIVISION,. BEGINNING AT THE .NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION l1

' \_) WHEREAS, the proposed changes in Zoning Dietrich as hereinafter made
has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recom-
Ynendatioq, which recommendation was received by the City Commission and,
after due consideration, the City Commission unanimously finds that making
the p~oposed changes as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest, and,
WHEREAS, all notices have been given in compliance with Section Z5 of
Ordin ance No. 661 as well as notices provided by Article 1011!, Revised Civil
Statutes, as amended, and notice was duly published on September 13, 14, and
15, 1950 , and the public hearing, according to said notice, was held at 2:00.
ofclo.ck, P. M. on September 28, 1950, in the City Commission room on the
second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared
in support of the proposal and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commiss-
ion determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions,
that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in substantial com.-

(3) Change Lots 1, Z, 3, 4, 5, e, Block 1, Whitehead Addition, from an

(4) Change a triangular area out of the Southwest corner of Block 83,
Markowitz Subdivision, beginning at the Northwest corner of the intersection
of U. S. Highway 84 and Baylor Street, thence West Z35. 36 Feet, thence
North 188. 0 Feet, thence Southeast along U. S. Highway 84, 301. 3 Feet to the
point of beginning, from an 11A 11 District to a "J" District.
(5) Change Lots 11, lZ, 13, 14, 15, Block 1, Burleson-Osborn Heights Ad-
dition, from an "Au District to a 11G 11 District.
(6) Change Lots 8 through 16, Block 3, Taylor Heights Addition, from an
"A" District to a 11B 11 District.
(7) Change Lots 1 through ZO, Block 1, Whitney Subdivision, from an "A"
District to a "Bu District.
From and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance, said.lots and
tracts above -re&rred to shall be changed to the Zoning Districts indicated and
the Official Zoning Map is hereby amended in accordance herewith.
