NANCE NO. 564 SO AS TO INCLUDE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE, AND PROVIDIOO
NEW PARKING MEI'ER ZONES EMBRACING THE EAST AND WEST SIDES OF AVENUE M FROM MAIN
STREEI' SOUTH TO BROADWAY STREET ON AV,ENU.E M; PBOVIDING FOR THE INSTALLATION OF
ONE {1) B:OUR !.'!EI'ERS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES RELATitTG TO PARKING ON THAT PARr
OF THE STREETS HEREIN DESIGNATED AND CONFLICTING WITH THE PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE
NO. 564J PROVID!'OO A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION NOT TO .EXCEED ONE HUNDRED {$100. 00)
DOLLARS, AND DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO PUBLISH THE CAPTION OF THI~ ORDINANCE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT, Section Twenty-three (2J) of Ordinance No. 564 is hereby
amended so as to change am modity-the parking therein referred to, so as to in•
clude the streets herein designated, with the .following provisions:
1. THAT, a parking meter zone is hereby' designated and established in the
Cit7 of Lubbock, TexasJ said parking meter zone shall embrace that part of the
streets hereinafter designated which shall limit the time of parking, as follows,
to-wit I

ONE (1) HOUR ZONE PARALLEL PARKING
(A) The West side of Avenue M from Main Street South to
the East-West all~ between Main Street and Broad-
way Street.
(B) The East side of Avenue M from Main Street South
to the East-West alley between Main street and
Broadway Street.
ONE (1) HOUR ZONE, FORI'Y-FIVE (45 °) DIDREE ANGLE PARKING
(A)

The East side of Avenue M from Broadway .Street North
to the East-ffest alley-between .Main Street and
Broadway Street.
The West side of Avenue M from Broadway Street North
to the East-West alley between Main Street and
Broadway Street, save and except eleven (111 ) feet
on said street immediately-in front of loading in-
stallation of the Timms-Hughes Furniture CompanyJ
said area is hereb,y designated a "No Parking Zone.•
SECTION 2q THAT, the Chief of Police is directed to place One (1) Hour
parking meters and lines designating the kind of parking provided on that part
of the streets designated in Section One (1) of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3. THAT, all provisions or other Ordinances in oonrlict with the
provisions of this Ordinance relating to parking meters on that part of the
streets herein designated is hereby repealed, provided nothing herein shall ever
be construed as re~ealing any part of Ordinance No. 564, except as herein
express~ provided~

SECTION 4. THAT, a~ person, firm or corporation who shall violate, aid,
or abet the violation of a~ provision of this Ordinance and Ordinance No. 564
which it amends shall, upon conviction, be fined in aey sum not exceeding One
Hundred ($100.00) Dollars.
SECTION 5. THAT, the City Secretary is hereb.r directed to cause publica-
tion of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance together with the penalty
clause as an alternative method of publication as provided b.Y law •
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
