vehioular tratfio in said allexs for loading and unloading purposes, the alleys
have become congested, creating an unsafe and Ulldesirable condition, 8.%1d,
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds it will be in the public interest to llm1t
the use or said alleys to one-way vehicular traffic in order to expedite the move-
ment ot vehicles and the loading and unloa.dillg of commodities, as well as perscns
b1 public and private conveyance, THEREFORE I

SECTION lt THAT, the alleys at the following locations, and as hereinafter
described, are herebr designated as one-way alleys for vehicular tra.t.tic with
entrances to said alleys aJld. direction ot travel indicated in the following
Sections or this Ordinance.
SECTION 2: l. (A) Alley between Avenue J and Tems Avenue. (B) Alle;r
between Avenue G and Avenue H. Entrances are on 9th Street and exits are on lOth
street. '

SECTIOJJ '-SIGNS AND UlCATIONs: Proper signs will be placed in conspicuous
locations in the alle.y entrances, exits and intersections. In the alle.y entrances
there will be placed 18" x 24' blaok and white signs with arrows and inscriptions
reading •ONE .. I'AY;• in the alley exits there will be placed 18" x 24" bls.ck aJXl
white signs :res.ding, •ONE-WAY DO NOr EN"fER;• at the alley intersections, there
wil.l be placed 18• X 24• black am white signs to show where lett turns and right
turns are not permitted.
All signs will be secure~ attached by suitable means in a
I pertinent and conspicuous location to telephone poles, power line poles, permanent
posts, permanent fences and buildings, with the consent of the owners of such
poles, fences, posts and buildings. ·
BEIGlll' OF SIGNS FROM ALLEr SURFACE. The signs shall be placed so
that the bottom ot each sign will be between seven (7) :teet and nine (9) teet above
the alle7 surface. I
SECTION ;. It shall hereafter be unlawfUl for aq ~rson to operate a vehicle
in the all~s designated in Sections two (2) and Three (J), or to drive or permit
the driving or operation of &Dy" Vehicle upon &1:0' d£ said alleys in v1olatiou ot
the provisions of this Ordinance.
SECTION 6. It shall be unlawful for a~ person to operate or permit the
operation ot aDl' vehicles in the alleys designated in Sections 'l'wo (2) and Three
(J) of this Ordinance unless such operation shall be in compliance with the signs
aDd directions shown thereon, and placed at locations established 'for such signs
b.1 the provisions of this Ordinance.
SECTION 7. A.rrr .Person who shall violate a.rrr ot the provisions of this Ordi•
nance shall be fined upon conviction a111 sum not exceeding $200.00.
