WHE~, a large group of property owners, and voters residing wi -in the hereinafter described area have petitioned the Governing Body of the City of Lubbock to annex and include above described area with- · in the corporat• limits or the City of Lubbock, and, WHEREAS, the Governing Body finds that said area herein described and in which many Qf said Petitioners reside, is in line of develop- ment, growth and expansion being experienced by the City or Lubbock, and the Governing Body t"Urther finds that the inclusion and annexation of the entire area as herein described by metes and bounds, within the corporate limits of the City of Lubbock to be in the public interest and the Governing Bod1 is empowered by Section 3A, Article I, Chapter _ I of the Charter of the City of Lubbock to annex by Ordinance, addi- tional territories lying adjacent to the City of Lubbock and said area .herein described is adjacent to and abuta the City Limits of the City · . of Lubbock, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: r1 r.1 ~d >--'-SECTION 1.
