AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 661 AND MAKING .. TBE FOLLOWING
ZONE CHANGES: LOT 8, BLOCK · 8, MCCRUMMEN ADDITION BE CHANGED FROM A
"B" ZONING DISTRICT TO AN "H" ZONING DISTRICT; THE NORTH ONE-HALF (N~)
OF _BLOCK 8 1 MORNINffiiiDE ADDITION BE CHANGED FROM AN "E" ZONING
DISTRICT TO A. 11 J" ZONING DISTJUCT; LOTS 1, 2 3, 4 AND .5, BLOCK 62,
ORIGINAL TOWN OF~LUBBOCK BE CHANGED FROM AN AEn ZONING DISTRICT TO
AN "F11 ZONING DISTRICT; LOTS 19 AND 20, BLOCK l, D. C. ROSS ADDITION
BE CHANGED FROM AN "A 11 ZONING DISTRICT TO A ''B" ZONING DISTRICT;
LOTS 5, 6 1 7 and 8,_BLOCK 4 1 RICHMOND SECOND .ADDITION BE CI-WiGED FROM
AN 11E" ZONING DISTRICT TO AN ftFu ZONING DISTRICT; THE NORTH ONE-HALF
(NiJ OF BLOCK 2, DENISON HEIGHTS BE CHANGED FROM AN "A" ZONING DIS-
TRICT TO AN "F'' ZONING DISTRICT SUBJECT TO A 35 FOOT "SET-BACK" ON
30TH STREET, FILLMORE AVENUE AND PIERCE AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the Zoning and Planning Commission has recommended to
the City Commission that the lots and addi'tions described in the
caption of this Ordinance be placed in districts hereinafter setout
and upon consideration of such recommendation and in compliance with
Section 25 of Ordinance No. 661, the City Commission caused due and
legal notice of such recommendation to be given together with written
notices as provided by Article 101lf, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas,
as amended, and;
WHEREAS, such notice was published on June 26, June 28, and June 9 1 1949, and the public hearing, according to said notice, was held at
2:30p.m. o'clock, July 14, 1949, in the City Cammission roam on the
second floor of the City Hall in Lubbock, Texas, at which time in-
terested persons appeared in support of the recommendation and after
said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would
be to the best public interest that the Zoning Ordinance be amended
in substantial compliance with the recommendations of the Zoning and
Planning Commission, Therefore;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
That Ordinance No. 661 and the official zoning map is hereby
amended as ~ollows, to-wit:
SECTION 1. Lot 8, Block 8, McCrummen Addition be changed
from a nB" Zoning District to an "H" Zoning District.
SECTION 2: The North one-half (Nl)-of Block a, Morningside
Add.i tion be changed from an "E" Zoning District to a tt J"
Zoning District.
SECTION 3. Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, Block 62, Original Town
of Lubbock be changed from an "E" Zoning District to an
"F'' Zoning District. .
-SECTION 4. Lots 19 and 20, Block 1, D. C. Ross Addition be
changed from an "Att Zoning District to a "B" Zoning District.
-SECTION 5. Lots 5, 6, 7 abd 8, Block 4 1 Richmond Second
Addition be changed from an "E" Zoning District to an "F"
Zoning District.
SECTION 6. The North one-half (N~) of Block 2, Denison
Heights be changed fro~ an "A" Zoning District to an "F"
Zoning District subject to a 35 foot 11 set-back" on 30th .
Street, Fillmore Avenue and Pierce Avenue.
And from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance
said lots and blocks are and shall be a part of the districts as
setout in the foregoing sections of this Ordinance and the official
zoning map is hereby amended in accordance with the provisions of
this Ordinance.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
Passed and approved first reading by unanimous vote of the
City Commission this 14th day of July~ 1949.
Passed and approved second reading by unanimous vote of the
City Commission this ' 28th day of July , 1949 •

The City Commission will hold a public hearing on ~ .+~J>9 1~t ,
at 2:30 o'clock P.M., in the City Commission room on th e~ s ~ f'!:. ~"'th e City
Hall in Lubbock, to consider tho recommendations or the Zoning and Planning Com-
mission to determinv th~ advisability of adopting its proposal, and at which time
4 and place all interested persons will be given an opportunity to protest against
the proposed am~ndment or make recomm e ndations in support thereof.
After said hearing the City Commission will determine whether the Zoning
Ordinance will be amended in accordanc e with such recommendation.
