CLASSIFI- CATION OF PROPERTY UNDER ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 661; PROVIDING FOR PAYMENT; THE ISSUANCE OF REC EIPTS TEEREFOR AND DISPOSITION OF THE MONEY COLLECTED. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISiHON OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. All persons, firms or corporations requesting changes in the Zoning Ordinance necessitating the publication or notices or written notices of public hearings on proposed changes in classifica- tion, shall be required to pay the necessary cost of such notices by publication and other written notices as hereinafter provided: (1). When the Planning & Zoning Commission has recommended to the City Commission that a change in zoning be made, the person, firm, or corporation making such request shall pay to the City Secretary the sum of Fifty ($50.00) Dollars to pay for the cost of publishing the notices required to be published by the Zoning Ordinance and the cost of giving written notice of the public hearing on the proposed change to all property owners, or to persons rendering the same for City taxes affected by such proposed changes of classification, and to all owners of property, and to the person rendering the same for City taxes, located within two hundred (200') feet of any property affected thereby, and no notices shall be published or mailed by the City Sec- retary and no date shall be set for a public hearing thereon unless such p~yment has been made and a receipt therefor is attached to the City Secretaryts request ror authority to publish and give said notice • SECTION 2. All payments made to the City Secretary for such notices shall be paid into the general fund of the City. SECTION 3. The provisions of this Ordinance shall be effective immediately due to the amendment Article lOllf Revised Civil Statutes of Texas by the existing Legislature. AND IT ·IS S 0 ORDERED.
