Repealed by Ordinance No. 4656 ORDINANCE N0.-=-........,87.:..:7..._ 0':/--22-~4 '6 • ~·AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 564, BY ADDiliD SECTIONS 2J(f) AND 2J(g}, SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR THE INSTALLATION, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF MECJW..TICAL DEVICES TO R:OOULATE PARKING IN A (20) TWENTY MINUTE METER PARKING ZONE; PROVIDING FOR THE APPLICATION ·OF ALL PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 564, TO SAID PARKING METER ZONEJ FIXING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS OPJJINANCE AND REPEALING PROVISIONS OF ANY ORDINANCE REGULATING THE TIME LIMIT OF PARKING ON THE FIRST FOUR SPACES ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF MAIN STREET AND EAST OF T~ CURB INTERSECTION OF THE .ALLEY BETWEEN TEXAS AVENUE AND AVENUE "J", AIU> LIMITING PARKING ON THE FIRST TFffiEE SPACES ON THE WEST SIDE OF TEXAS AVENUE SOUTH OF THE CURB INTERSECTION OF TEXAS AVENUE AND MAIN STREET; AND DIRECTING PUBLICATION. WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require twenty (20) minute parking meter installations on the first four spaces on the South side of Main Street and East of the curb intersection of the alley between Texas Avenue and Avenue nJn, and the first three spaces on the West side of Texas Avenue South of the Curb intersec- tion of Texas Avenue and Main Street, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TFr.E; CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK& THAT, a parking meter zone is hereby designated and established in the City of Lubbock to be designated as Sections 2J(f) and 23(g), twenty (20) minute zone of Ordinance No. 564 1 which shall include the following portions of Texas Avenue and portions of Main Street, and limit the time of parking as follows, to-wit& TWENTY (20) MINUTE ZONE: (f). The first four parking spaces on the South side of Main Street and East of the curb intersection of the alley between .Texas Avenue and Avenue "J"• (g). The first three parking spaces on the West side of Texas Avenue South of the curb intersection of Texas Avenue and Main Street. All provisions of other ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this • ordinance are hereby repealed, provided nothing herein shall ever be construed as repealing any part of Ordinance No. 564, except as herein expressly provided. That any person, firm or corporation who shall violate or aid or abet another to violate any of the provisions of this ordinance and Ordinance No. 564, shall upon conviction, be deemed guilty of an· offense and shall be fined in any sum not to exceed ONE HUNDRED ($100.00) DOLLARS. . The City Secretary is hereby directed to cause publication of the deecriptive caption of this ordinance together with penalty clause once a week for two con• secutive weeks in some newspaper regularly published in the City of Lubbock, as an alternative provided by Chapter 10, Page 112, Acts 19J9 of the 46th Legislature as amended by Chapter 264, Page 46J, Acts 1947, of the 50th Legislature.
