AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 564, BY ADDING SECTION 23 (e), SO AS
TO PROVIDE FOR THE INSTALLATION, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF MECHANICAL DEVICES
TO REGULATE PARKING IN A TWENTY (20) MINUTE METER PARKING ZONE; PROVIDING FOR THE

FIXING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE AND REPEALING
THE PROVISIONS OF ANY OP~INANCE REGULATI~~ THE TIME LIMIT ON PARKING ON THE WEST
SIDE OF TEXAS AVENUE BE~EEN BROADWAY AND THE ALLEY ABUTTING THE CITIZENS NATIONAL
BANK BUILDING ON THE SOUTH.

THEREFORE, ,_
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT, a parking meter zone is hereby designated and established in the City-
of Lubbock, to be designated as Section 23 (e), twenty {20) minute zone of Ordin~.
ance No. 564, which shall include the following portion of Texas Avenue and limit
the time of parking as follows, to-wit:
T'.mNTY (20) MINUTE ZONE:
(e). All parking spaces on the West side of Texas Avenue between
Broadway-and the alley abutting the Citizens National Bank
Building.
All provisions of other ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance are hereby repealed, provided nothing herein shall ever be con_strued
as repealing any-part of Ordinance No. 564, except as herein expressly-provided.
That any person, firm or corporation who shall violate or aid or abet another
to violate any of the provisions of this ordinance and Ordinance No. 564, shall
upon conviction, be deemed guilty of an offense and shall be fined in any sum not
to exceed ONE HUNDRED ($100.00) DOLLARS.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
Passed and approved first reading by unanimous vote of the City Commission
this 22nd day of April, 194S.

Date April 23, 1948.
Mr. Wilson, the City Commission in their meeting yesterday
authorized 9 parking meters on the East side of the Citizens National
Bank (on Texas Avenue) to be changed from 1 hour to 20 minute meters.
Motion was made by vommissicner Price, seconded by Commissioner
Hufstedler, carried unanimously, to make this ohange.
Please let me have Ordinance or Resolution, which ever is
necessary, to authorize this change, for my Minutes.
