I 0:2-U.D-fqtfe ORDINANCE NO .. ~ ( 00-\1-tq% AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CibsiNG THE ALLEY IN THE EAST HALF OF BLOCK 721 OVERTON ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK. WHEREAS, Block 72, Overton Addition to the City of Lubbock has been re~latted with the approval of the Pla nning Commission and Governing Body of the City of •Lubbock, in the public interest, with a forty-two (42) foot street right-of-way dedicated to the public between Broadway and 13th Streets, near the center ot said Block, and the alley extending Ea.et and West through the East halt of said Block • 72, is no longer needed for alley purposes, with complete ingress and egress being afforded in the West half of said block, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCKr SECTION 1. That the alley extending through the East half of Block 72, Overton Addition to the City of Lubbock, described by metes and bounds as follows, to-wit: BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of Lot 7, in Block 72, Overton Addi~ tion, for the place of beginningJ THENCE West along the South boundary line of said lots in the North half of said Block, 335.25 feet to a point in the South line of Lot 13; THENCE South 20 feet to a point in the North property line of Lot lSJ THENCE East along the North property line of said lots, 335.25 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot 24; THENCE North 20 feet to the place of beginning; BE, and the same is hereb.y abandoned and closed for public purposes. SECTION 2.. The City of Lubbock hePeby reserves an easement in that portion of the alley closed under the provisions of Section 1 of this Ordinance, together with all rights of ingress and egress, for the purpose of removing a~ existing. utili• ties therefrom.
