DISTRICT; TAKIID THE SOUTH ONE ... HALF OF BlOCK 2, TYLER SQUARE OUT OF AN "A" DISTRICT
AND PLACIJ:.n IT IN A "B" DISTRICT; AMENDING SECTION II SO AS TO INCLUDE "UNCOVERED
PUBUC PARKING :OOTS"; AND AMENDING SECTION V SO AS TO ADD AND INCLUDE ~UNCOVERED
PuBLIC PARKIID LOTS, REPAIRS OR SALES NOT PERMITTED", IN DISTRICTS "C" 1 "D" 1 AND "E"
IHEREAS, the Planning aDd Zoning Commission has recommended to the City Commis•
sion that ~ertain changes be made in Zoning Ordinance No. 661, as expressed b,y the
terms of this ordinance and in consideration of such recommendation the City Commis-
sion caused notice of hearing thereon to be published in the Lubbock Avalanche
Journal December 23, December 24 and December 25, 1947, and,
IHEREAS, said notice was so published and the public hearing, according thereto
was held in the City Commission room on the second floor of the City Hall in the
City of Lubbock at 2s30 o'clock P.M., January 8, 1948, at which time interested
persons appeared at. said bearing and after which said hearing the City Commission
determined that it would be in the public interest that Ordinance No. 661, be
amended in substantial compliance with the recommendations of the Planning and Zon•
ing Commission, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCKs
THAT, Ordinance No. 661, known as the Zoning Ordinance be amended as followsl
SECTION 1. That the West one•half of Block 32, Low and McNabb Addition be taken
out or a "C" District and placed in an "F" District.
SECTION 2. That the South one•half of Block 2, Tyler Square be taken out of an
"A• District and placed in a •B• District. ·
SECTION 3. That Section II of said ordinance number 661, be amended to include
the following definitiona
'UNCOVERED PUBLIC PARKING LOTS: Any premises ~sed tor the purpose
of parking motor vehicles for renumeration. No repairs or
sales will be permitted on the premises."
SECTION 4o That Section 5 of said ordinance number 661, entitled Regulations
for Districts nco, nnu and •E•, be amended so as to include the following uses in
said districts2

(12) Uncovered Public Parking Lots, repairs or sales not permitted.
SECTION 5• That the official Zoning Map of the City of Lubbock, BE, and the
same is hereb.y amended so as to indicate thereon the foregoing amendments.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
