T AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SIDTION 23 of ORDINANCE NO. 564, ENTITLED 11AN ORDINANCE .-• CREATING AND DEFINING PARKING METER ZONES m THE CITY OF' LUBBOOK, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR THE INSTALLATION, OPERATION AND NJAINTENANCE OF MECHANICAL DEVICES TO REGULATE .PARKirm LN SAID PARKING METER ZONESJ PROVIDING FOR THE COLL~TION OF REGULATORY AND INSPECTION FEES FOR THE USE OF S~H DEVICES; PROVIDING FOO THE DEPOSIT OF Sl:CH FEES BY THE CITY T!lliASURER IN A SPECIAL FUND; FROVIDING FOR THE METHOD AND PURPOSE OF DISBURSEf!f!ENT OF SAID FUND'; MAKING IT UNLA~FUL TO USE THE STREETS ·DR PORTIONS DF THE STREETS SO DESIGNATED FOR PARKING EXCEPI' THROUGH USE OF PARKING .METERSJ DE- FINING ¥/HAT ACTS SHALL BE UNLAWFUL, AND FIXING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 558, AND ALL CRDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.", SO THAT AN ADDITIONAL PARKING METER ZOOE IS BY THIS AMENDMENT HEREBY DESIGNATED AND ESTABLISHED TO EMBRACE THE SOI1l'H SIDE OF MAIN STP.EET BETVIEEN AVENUE "G 11 AND TEXAS AVENUE AND THE EAST SIDE OF TEXAS AVENUE BETWEEN iV'JAIN STRID:T AND BROADWAY AND THE NORTH SIDE OF BROADWAY ~"'ROM AVENUE "l£" TO TEXAS AVENUE • ..; BE IT Cl\DAINED BY THE CrrY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBB!CK, TEXASs ~ onr. hour Section 1. That an additional~arking meter ~one, BE, and the same is hereby designated and established in the City of Lubbock, Texas. Said parking meter zone shall embrace the following streets in the City of Lubbock, Texas, to wita I (a) South side of .Main Street from Avenue 11 G" to Texas Avenuo . (b) East side of Texas Avenue between Main Street and Broadway. (c) North side of Br-oadway between Avenue ~" and Texas Avenue. Section 2. That each of the said streets and avenues and particularly that part of said streets and avenues referred to herein and set out in Section 1 above, are shown and outlined on the map and plat of the Original Town of 'Lubbock, 'Lubbock County, Texas, which map and plat is of record in the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, and reference is here made to the map and plat for all purposes. Section 3. All ordinances end parts of ordinances in conflict herewith and app~ing to that portion of the streets and avenues named in Section 1 of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 4. It is not intended by this amendment to change or amena •Ordinance No. 564, except as herein expressly provided as to establishing and creating an additional parking meter zone under Section 23, and all of the provisions of !lrdinance No. 564, including penalties, shall apply to this amendment. Section 5. That any person, firm or corporation who shall violate, or aid or abet another to violate any of the provisions of this ordinance shall upon convic· tion be deemed guilt~ of an offense and shall be fined in any sum not to exceed ONE HUNDRED ($100.00) DOLLARS.
