Passed and approved second reading by unanimous consent of the Commission this ~ day of August , 1946. A~ .. -'L~«-~ .;b.:. ... ,J City Secretary Mayor MEMBERS LUBBOCK ZONING COMMISSION. Gentlemen: We, the undersigned lawful owners of lots 1, 2 and 31 block 3 G.A. Rush addition to the city of Lub- bock wish to make application to have said lots re- moved from zone D and placed in zone F to per.mit the construction of such business buildings deemed suitable for local retail businesses. Block 3 of G.A. Rush addition consists of ten 45 x 130 f'·oot lots. 7 of' these lots are zoned for business, the remaining 3 are in zone D and are not separated from business property by a street, but are themselves a part of this business block and so situated there-on as to be of great convenience to those who choose to shop in this area. May we point out that in granting this zone change, the Commission would not be placing the boundary line of zone F on another property owners line, but the Commission would be completing, tor retail business, all of block 3 G.A. Rush addition which is bound on all sides by public streets. May we call the Commissions attention to the fact that Sears Roebuck and Company is making ready to open a new million dollar retail department store on property directly across 14th. street from the 3 lots we wish to have placed in zone F; lots 1,2 and J G.A. Rush addition • . we feel we are justified in making this request and _j /00 ltt-.J.. ~t . u , \ ... s t totJ't ", t!~1tfJ\ \~~\\\tU e !OM\~, \.Otl\l ~t.~\l • ZO~£ D,Af'AR'T N\EtiH rHERt At\E tor~ 1,a AND 3 , ~Loc.t<. 3 \ I . tT.A.
