AN ORDINAl~E ANJENDIN3 THE PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 661, BY PLACING
BLOOKS 28, 29, JO and Jl, WHEELOOK'S SECOND ADDI'£ION, IN A 11B11 DISTRICT AND
BLOOK 44, OF SAID ADDITION IN AN 11 HII DISTRICT, AND PLACI NG TECH TERRACE AD-
DITION TO THE CITY OF "LUBBOOK IN RESIDENI'IAL 11A11 DISTRICT, EXCEPT THE BLOOK
BOUNDED BY JACKSON, VANBUREN, 26th AND 27th STREETS, WHICH IS PLACED IN A
IIBII DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Zoning and Planning Commission has recommended to the City
Commission that certain areas be zoned as s.et out in the caption of this
ordinance, and,
WHEREAS, upon consideration of such recommendation the City Commission
caused due and legal notice thereof to be published three (J) times in the
Lubbock Morning Avalanche on January 8, 15 and 23, 1946, and pursuant to
the terms of the notice, the public hear~ng was held at the time and place
stated in said not,ice by the City Commission on January 24, 1946, in the
City Commission Room on the second floor of the City Hall in Lubbock, and
interested persons appeared at said hearing, after which, it was by the Ci-
ty Commission determined that .it would be to the best public interest that
said ordinance be amended in substantial compliance with the recomme~dation,
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDliNED BY THE CITY COMMISS]ON OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK&
That Zoning Ordinance No. 661 is hereby amended as follows:
~S ection 1. Blocks 28, 29, 30 and 31, Wheelock's Second .Addition are here-
by removed from an 11E11 District and placed in a •B 11 District.
Section 2. Block 44, Wheelock 1 s Second .Ad dition is reln oved from an 11F 11
District and placed in an •H• District.
Section 3. All of Tech Terrace ~ddition, recently brought into the City
Limits is placed in residential 11 A11 District, EXCEPT the block immediately
South of the lake development area, which block is bounded by Jackson and
VanBuren Streets and 25th and 26th Streets, shall be placed in a "B" District.
And from and after the passage and effective date of this ordinance said
areas, blocks and tracts of land described in this ordinance are and shall
be a part of and constitute districts as set out in the foregoing sections
of this ordinance, AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
