Q S-9\ -1.945 ORDINANCE NO. ?15 Oto-IS-( .9'-f-5 AN ORDINANCE AMENDI NG ORDINANCE No. 661 BY MAKING CERTAIN CHANGBS IN THE ORIGINAL DISTRICTS DESCRIBED IN SAID ORDINANCE AS DISTRICTS E .AND J. WHEREAS, Article 15, of Ordinance No. 661, pro- vides for amending and changing the boundaries of the various districts described and set forth in said Ordinance, and, whereas, in compliance with provisions of said Section 15, of said Ordinance, the City Commission submitted to the Zoning Commission for its recommendation and report the proposed changes to be made to Districts E and J; and, VfHEREAS, said Zoning Commission after duly con- sidering said proposed changes of said districts made its report and recommendation to the City Commission favoring the proposed changes in said Districts E and J; and, WHEREAS, thereafter the City Commission caused to be published in detail the proposed changes in said Districts heretofore described and in said notice so published, the public was notified that a public hearing would be held by the City Commdssion for the purpose of considering the passage of an amendment to said Ordinance No. 661, and making certain changes in Districts E and J; and, WHEREAS, such notice was duly published on May 16 , May --------------------23 and May __ 3_1 _______ , 1945, in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche, a newspaper of general circulabion, published in the City of Lubbock, Texas, giving notice to the public that the City Commission would meet on M~ v ·131 1945, at 2:30 o'clock L• M., in the City Hall in Lubboclt, Texas, for the purpose of hearing protest, if any, a g ainst such proposed changes and proposed amendment to said Ordinance 661, and after -.- said notice was published as aforesaid, the City Commission did on ____ M~a ~v~3 ~l~s~t •• _____ l945, meet at the City Hall in Lubbock, Texas, for the purpose of considering protests, if any, to said proposed changes in said Districts, and the amen&ment, and, Whereas, no one appeared at said meeting to protest against such proposed changes and amendment. NOW 1 THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CO~Th1 ISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: SECTION 1: The following described pro·perty, located and situated in Lubbock County, Texas, and described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the South line of Survey 80, Block A, Lubbo~k County, Texas, approximately 150 feet East of the East property line of Avenue H, and in the East line of a J District; THENCE North along tbe present boundary between the J District and the E District to a point in the South- easterly right-of-way line of the Crosbyton South Plains Railroad; THENCE Northeasterly along the Southeasterly right- of-way line of said Railroad to its intersection with the Western limits of an F District; THENCE in a Southwesterly direction along a meandering course following the West boundary ef the said F District to the Northwesterly right-of-way line of the State Hi ghway; THENCE Southwesterly along the Northwesterly right-of- way line of said State Highwa y No. 9, as the same is now located on the ground to the South line of Survey 80, Block A; THENCE West along the South line of Survey 80, approxi- mately 650 feet to the place of beg +nning; is hereby taken out of District E, and placed in District J, and that from and after the passage and effective date of this Ordinance, all of said property described in this Section 1, is and shall be a part of District J; and IT I S SO ORDERED.
