-.r-AN ORDINANCE AMENDINI"!. ORDINANCE NO. 587 BY ADDING CERTATIT EXCEPTIONS
TO CHAPTER llt SECTION 1102 AND CHAPTER 12, SECTION 1202.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF J"'UBBOC:K', TEXAS:
That the following exceptions be added to Cha n ter 11, S ection 1102
and Chapter 12, Section 1202, of Ordinance No. 587.
Exceptions-
A. Buildings of Group F Occupancies and buildin ~s of Gro up G
0 ccupancies, \'Then separated by a fire division wall extending from
the foundation of the building to and through the roof, with standard
parapet, and affording four hour fire resistive p rotection, as s p ecified
in Chapter 43, ~action 4302, and with the openings therein complying with
Chapter 5 -Section 503 (c) -2, and with approved fire doors as specified
in. Chapter 43, Section 4304 (a), may be classified as separate buildings.
B. The floor area of Type V buildings may be increased over those
given in Table I below provided the following provisions are complied
with:
1. That the maximum floor area in any one building shall not
exceed 50,000 sq. ft.
2. That the floor be of non-combustible material ,,
3. That such building be restricted to one-story in height,
not more than 15 feet from the ground to the eaves and 25 feet to the
peak of the roof and that all outside walls, skylights, and roof structures
be entirely enclosed or adequately screened.
4. That no building be erected less than 50 feet from the
owners' property line, except on street sides, where it shall be not nearer
than 50 feet to the prope ~ty lines across the street.
5. That a clear and clean space of not less than 50 feet be
maintained between all buildings, unless a standard fire division wall
is provided, with all openings -orotected as specified in. Section A above.
6. That each building be protected with a standard automatic
sprinkler sys~em as specified in Chapter 38, a standard inside and outside
private system of water mains equipped with fire hydrants and hose, and
with two acceptable water supplies. The sprinkler system, inside and
outside private water mains, hydrants, etc., and the two water sup-olies,
shall , be in accordance with the National Board of Fire Underwriters
Standards for such systems and the plans for such systems shall be
approved by the Texas Inspection Bureau and the State Fire Insurance
Commission. AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
