Lubbock, Texas
Attention: Mr. Cli:ttord E. Hunt
Gentlemen:
With reference to the building of an addition to Lubbock Sanitarium &
Clinic on the quarter block at Thirteenth Street and Avenue M aouth .. of and adjoin-
ing the present building and closing of th~ alley between Avenues L and M. tor a
distance of one-half block, from Avenue M. eastward, please be advised that West
Texas Gas Company has an eight-inch line in the portion of alley that is to be
closed.
In connection with the enlargement of present sanitarium and clinic
building and closing of alley for a distance of one-halt block between Avenues
L and M, West Texas Gas Company is pleased to cooperate wi tb the management of
the Lubbock Sa~1tar1um & Clinic and proposes to remove, at its own expense, the
portion of its eight-inch line in the portion of alley to be closed.
We assume the alley extending westward between Avenues L and M tor
one-halt block Will remain open , also the alley adjoining the site of the new
building that extends north from Thirteenth Street. In removing the present
portion of eight-inch line from portion of a!ley to be closed, it will be neces-
sary to place a tie-in from point on our eight-inch line at entrance to alley
extending eastward tromAvenue M, thence south to Thirteenth Street and thence
eastward to line in alley extending north in alley east of proposed site for
the new building. This change will parmi t us to adequately meet gas servioe
requirements dependent upon the present eight-inch line. This is mentioned in
order that you may be familiar w1 th our plans.
