BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, AND TEE CITY COMMISSION THEREOF: That; Ordinance No. 479-A, being an ordinance ot the City ot Lubbock, Texas, granting to West Texas G1!ls Canpany, a cor.poration, its successors and assigns, a gas franchise tor the purpose ot conducting in said City the business ot furnishing natural gas to the C1 ty and the in- habitants thereof' tor light, heat, power end other purposes, ae1 1stte rtghb bo ace •a• •••• ,._ s, c:r:l:ley a cma o'bhax pab11c ..... Jrivile~ _,. be e:zeMieeEl, shall be an~s hereby emended · by ,the addition theteto ot the following section, which is numbered Section 4-a, and shell be included in said Ordinance No. 479-A just following Section 4 ot said ordinance: Section 4-a That the said grantee, its successors and assigns, may make special contracts with industrial. end commercial consumers Of natural gas in large quantities tor supply- ing gas at rates not exceeding the rates hereinabove prescribed, end such special contracts ~ cover a period not exceeding three years, and such contracts~ be made upon a flat rate basis or upon a graduated scale, so long as the rates provided in said contracts do no~ exceed the rates now pro- vided tor or which may hereafter be legally provided tor :from t.ime to time by the City Commission ot the City ot Lubbock, or the llailroad Commission ot Texas or any other legally and duly constituted regulatery authority, and provided further that such contracts, when and it made, shall not dis- criminate between cons\mlers ot the same class. ..
