EQUIPMENT ON SAID TRACK.
Be it ordained by the City Commission of the City of
Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas:
Section 1: That The Pecos and Northern Texas Railway
Company, a corporation, and its lessee, The Panhandle and
Santa Fe Railway Company, a corporation, and their successors
and assigns, be and they are ·hereby given the right, power,
and privilege of locating, building, erecting, constructing,
and maintaining an industrial track with the necessary turn-
'outs, switch stands, and other necessary appliances in con-
nection therewith upon and over the alley running north .and
south through Blocks Forty-One {41), Twenty-Five (25), ~d
Nine ( 9), of the original town of Lubbock, Lubbock County,
Texas, and Blocks One (1) and Two (2), of Liff Sanders Ad-
dition to the town of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, and
upon and over the alley running north and south through a
tract of land lying immediately between Block One (1) of the
Liff Sanders .Addition and Block Nine ( 9) of the original tm.n
of Lubbock, Texas, and upon the strip of land through said
tract dedicated as an alley by S.F. Gentry, as shown by in-
strument recorded in Volume 155, pag e 599 of the Deed Records
of Lubbock County, Texas, and upon and over Sixth Street,
Fifth Street, Fourth street, Third Street, Second Street, and
First Street, of the City of Lubbock, Texas, at the points
where such streets would be crossed by the projection of said
alleys above described, and extendin~ from the railroad track,
which lies south of Block Forty-One (41) of the original town
of Lubbock, Texas, through Block Two (2) of Liff Sanders Ad-
dition to the town of Lubbock, Texes, and across First street,
and the right to operate its equipment on said track, when
built provided however, that said track shall be so erected
and m~intained ~s to p e rmit the crossing thereof by ordinary
vehicles where it intersects the streets herein described.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage. ~ .~
