OU-2'6 -198U AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING THE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION FOR THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS~ TO ACT WITH THE CITY COMMISSION AND FIXING A TIME FOR MEETING FOR SUCH BOARD OF EQUALIZ.ITION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: Section 1. That Geo. w. Foster~ A.G. Odom and W.E. Kittrell~ qualified voters, residents and property owners of the City of Lubbock, Texas, be, and they are hereby appointed commissioners to act as Board of Equalization for the City of Lubbock, Texas, for the year 1934, with the City Commission of such City. Section 2. That the 25th day of June, 1934, be and it is hereby fixed as a time for the meeting of the Board of Equalization for the City of Lubbock, Texas. Passed unanimously, all members of the City Commission being present, this the 23rd day of June, 1934. Passed second reading 28th day of June, 1934. ATTEST: /s/ w. o. Steyens City Secretary. OATH OF BOARD OF E~UAL IZATIO N CITY OF LUBBOCK t1We, the members of the bo a rd of equalization of the City of Lubbock• Lubbock County, 'l'exas, hereby sol'em.nly a wear that, in the performance of our duties as memb e r s of such board for said year, we will not vote to allow any taxable property~ to stand assessed on the tax rolls of said City for said yea r a t any sum which we believe to be leas than its true market value, or if it has no market value, ·then its real va~ue; that we will faithfully ende a vor and as members of the board will move to have each item of taxable property which we believe to be assessed for said year at less than its true market value, or real value, raised on the rolls to what we believe to be its true cash value, if it has a market~tue, and if not, then to its real value; and that we will faith· fully endeavor to h a ve the assessed valuation of all property subject t o t axation within said vi ty st·-l nd upon the tax rolls of said liity for sa id yea r a t it s true cash market value, or, if it has no market value, then it s re a l v alue.
