RESOLUTYON
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to accept for and
on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Dedication Deed in connection with certain real property
located in Tract "A-1", a replat of Tract "A", Animal Shelter Addition to the City of
Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, to be utilized for street, curb, gutter, drainage right-of-
way, public utilities and other public purposes, and all related documents. Said Dedication
Deed is attached hereto and incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth herein and
shall be included in the minutes of the Council.

That CITY OF LUBBOCK is the Owner (hereinafter referred to as the "Owner") of the
following described real property:
METES AND BOLJNDS DESCRiPTION for the plat limits of Tract "A-1", Lubbock Animal
Shelter Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, being a replat of Tract "A",
Lubbock Animal Shelter Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, and
including a previously unplatted tract of land located in Section 3, Block S, Lubbock County,
Texas, all being further described as follows:
BEGINNING at a 1/2" iron pipe found in the North right-of-way line of Southeast Loop 289, as
described in Volume 687, Page 615, Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas (DRLCT), at the
Southeast corner of this tract, said point also being the original Southeast corner of Tract "A",
Lubbock Animal Shelter Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, according to
the map, plat and/or dedication deed thereof recorded under County Clerk File Number
2011026023, Official Public Records of Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE Southwesterly, along the North right-of-way line of said Southeast Loop 289, along a
curve to the right, said curve having a radius of 3669.83 feet, a central angle of 08°31'38", a
chord distance of 545.68 feet and a chord bearing of S. 76°22'O1" W. to a 1/2" iron rod with cap
marked "HUGO R�ED & ASSOC." set for the Southwest corner of this tract;
THENCE N. O1 °06'S5" E. a distance of 532.61 feet to a 1/2" iron rod with cap marked "HUGO
REED & ASSOC." set for the Northwest corner of this tract;
THENCE S. 88°53'OS" E. a distance of 527.70 feet to a 1/2" iron rod with cap marked "HUGO
REED & ASSOC." set in the West line of that tract of land described in Volume 1138, Page 249,
DRLCT, for the Northeast corner of this tract;
THENCE S. O l°06'S5" W., along the West line of said tract of land described in Volume 1138,
Page 249, a distance of 393.70 feet to the POINT OF BEGINI�IING (the "Property).
That Owner does hereby plat and dedicate the Property into the lots, designating streets,
alleys, easements and other public properties, as shown on and in accordance with the attached map
prepared by CYRIL H. TURNER, a registered professional surveyor for the State of Texas, on the
24th day of May, 2023 and approved by the City Planning Commission of the City of Lubbock,
County of Lubbock, State of Texas, on the 1 st day of June , 2023;

That Owner desires to have the Property platted, dedicated and duly filed for record as
required by law, all as shown on the attached map; and
That in consideration of the premises and special benefits to the remainder of the Property in
the area, Owner does hereby DEDICATE all the streets, alleys, easements and other public
properties (surface and/or underground) thereon shown and designated upon said map to the
PUBLIC FOR PUBLIC USE FOREVER; and by these presents does impress the name of "TRACT
"A-1" LUBBOCK ANIMAL SHELTER ADDITION an Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock
County, Texas" upon the Property for the correct reference and description thereof as indicated
upon the attached map, and does hereby adopt the name hereinabove stated and impress the same
upon the Property, incorporating said map as a part of this dedication.
This instrument shall not be construed as an instrument of conveyance of any type, and the
Owner shall continue to own, subsequent to the dedication and platting, the same interest in the
same parcel as owned prior to this dedication and platting.
