BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF llJBBOCK,
TEX!\S:
SECTION 1: That it is hereby declared from and after the
:final passe.ge of this act to be a nuis ance a.nd unlaw:ful ror eny
peroo n, firm or corporation to keep more than one cow, or more
than two horses, or more than two mules, or ~ore than one horse
and one mule, in or on the snme premises enclosure, pens, or barns,
or lot or contiguous lots, uithin the zone herein defined within the
city limits ot the City of Lubbock, Texas.
SECTION 2: That it is hereby declared from and aft e r t!Je f'ina.l
passage of this act to be a nuisance and unlawful for any person,
firm or corpora tion to keep or operate any public horse or mule
barn w1 thin the zone herein defined within the c1. ty limits of the
·City of .Luboo ck, Texas.
SECTION 3: That from and after the final passaee of this
ordinance no person, :firm or corporation shall keep more than one cow,
or more than two horses,. or more than two mules, or more than one
horse and one mule• in or on the same premises, enclosure, pens or
barns or oo ntiguous lota, or keep any public horse or mule barn, VTi thin
the zone herein defined within the city limits or the City of Lubbock,
Texas.

SECTION 4: That the zone above referred to is more f'ully des-
cribed as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner or Block
49 of the Roberts and McWhorter Addition or
the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas;
thence g ast to the Northea11t corner of Blk.
11 of the ii illia.m Tubbs Addition to said
city; thence South to the Northwest corner
of Block 14 of Acuff Heights in said City;
thence Ea st to the East line of Survey 79
in Block "A" in Lubbock County, Texas; thence

sa id City; thence West to the center line of
Avenue "C"; thence South to the center line
of Nineteenth Street; thence \'.'est to the center
ltne of ~venue "D"; thence South to the South
line of Usleman • s Add! tion; thence '.'?est to

Southeast corner of Lot 5 in Block 4 of Flynn
addition; said point being in the North line
of Thirty-fourth Street; thence start ing in a
westerly course and tollowine the city limits
w.l th its meanders to the place of beginning.
SECTIO:U 5: That any one violating this ordinance shall be
fined in any sum not exceeding Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars
for each and every oftense.
SECTION 6: The ract that the aforesaid nuisances and unlawful
acts and pr actioes create foul odors and unsanitary cor:di tions,
breed flies and vermin, spread infectious and contagious diseases,
all dangerous to the DUblic health, makes it an imperative rublio
necessity and emereency requiring this ordinance to take effect from
and after ita ~ssage, and it is so ordered.
Passed, adopted and approved first reading this the 14th day of Varch,
1930.
Passed, adopted and approved second reading this the 18th day or March-
1930.
