AN OHDIUA1 JOE granting to \I .A. Izard a franchise to

operate a passenger bus service, with the barrr.:dge of such pass-
engers, over certain streets in this City , and such other streets
as may be added to this franchise by consent of the City , such
being in accordance wi'th Ordinance No .313, ~)assed and approved
the 13th day of Auenst,l925, fixine the schedule and rates to be
charged: approving his bond and declaring an emertrency on accotmt
of the near approach of the opening of the Technoloeical College ~

SECIT110N 1. W.A.Izard is hereby granted th~ right and
yrivilege to operate for the tern of twenty years, and as much
longer as the service is satisfactory. a passenger lms serv1ce
and to carry the baggage of such passengers over the foll,owing·
streets ,of the Uity; Main Street , Jjuoadway Street, Thirteenth
Street , Sixteenth Street and Nineteenth Street, and the connect-
ing streets between the same , in accordance with Ordinance no .
313 , passed and a pproved the. 13th day of Aueust 1925 , ~ ~ ~

traffic . on the circuit of Jfain Street a n d tsroadway Street. and
Thirteenth Jtreet; and such other streets as may be necessary
to care for the traveline putlic, esp ecially the student body
of the 'I'exas 'l'ech n ological U oll ege; s uch circuit shall not be
less than the distance from Avenue G to the ad ministrution
Building c f the Texas Technological College. and the elapsed
time of any circuit shall not be greater than twenty minutes;

Hand baggage shall be carried free , and no t runk shall carry

tary. The service shall be operated in a safe and adequate

manner.
It shall not he necess ary for the franchised to carry
persons of African descent~' and he shall not carry them in a
bus wherein white persons are invited to ride.

said w.A.lzard fail or refuse to comply ·.vith the terms of this
franc '1ise, upon such failure this franchise shall be in all things
