WHICH IS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS W�]
ORDINANCE; DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAPS
OF THE CITY TO REFLECT SAID ABANDONMENT AND CLOSING; PROVIDING A ■_—
SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.

WHEREAS; the City Council finds that the easement hereinafter described in the
body of this Ordinance is no longer needed for easement purposes and for public use; and it
would be in the public interest to close, vacate and abandon the same for easement purposes EF5-
and for public use; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the easement as hereinafter described shall BE and the same is
hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for easement purposes and for public use, such
easement being more particularly described in Exhibit "A."
SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to mark the
official maps of the City of Lubbock to reflect said abandonment and closing, showing the
number of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage.
SECTION '). THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or word
of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this
Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized
and directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative
method provided by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
PARTIAL EASEMENT ABANDONMENT
BEING 3,717 square foot (0.0853 acre) tract of land situated in the J.W. Winn Survey, Abstract No. 898, City of
Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; said tract being part of Tract A, South Plains Addition, an Addition to the City of
Lubbock according to the plat recorded in Volume 1295, Page 379 of the Plat Records of Lubbock County, Texas;
said tract being more particularly described as follows:
COMMENCING at a 112-inch iron rod found in the west right-of-way line of Slide Road (a 120-foot wide right-cf-way);
from said point the southeast corner of Section 28 bears South 1043'03" East, a distance of 866 feet;
THENCE South 88°13'17" East, along the said west line of Slide Road, a distance of 0.84 feet to a 112-inch iron rod
found;
THENCE North 01046'43" East, continuing along the said west line of Slide Road, a distance of 260.95 feet to a point
at the intersection of the said west line of Slide Road and the south line of a utility easement dedicated by said plat;
THENCE North 88°13'17"West, departing the said west line of Slide Road and along the said south line of the utility
easement, a distance of 134.85 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING;
THENCE South 1'46'43" West, a distance of 50.61 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE North 88°13'17" West, a distance of 20.00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE South 1'46'43" West, a distance of 63.00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE South 88013'17" East, a distance of 18.00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE South 1'46'43" West, a distance of 11.39 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE North 88°13'17" West, a distance of 38.00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE North 1'46'43" East, a distance of 125.00 feet to a point for corner;
