HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 214-1922 - Prohibit People From Loitering Around Places Of Public Amusement. - 08/16/1922/ I -- ORDINANCE NO. 214 AN ORDINANCE Prohibiting persons from loitering around places of public amuse- ment for which admission fee is charged for the purposes of viewing the spectacle or performance without paying therefor, fixing a penalty and declaring an emergency account of the prevealance thereof. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WBBOCIC, TEXAS. Section 1. No person shall loiter or remain around a place of public amuse- ment to which an admission fee is charged with the intention and effort to view such spectacle, .entertainment without paying the admission charge or fee. Seation 2. Any person found guilty of violating section one hereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding two hundred dollars ($200.00). Section 3. The fact that a great many persons are now viewing entertainments without paying therefor, creates an emergency that the rule requiring an ordinance to be read at two several meetings be suspended and this Ordinance be passed on the meetings of its introduction, and be effective immediately.
