AN ORDINANCE levying tares upon all taxable property
within the City of Lubbock, Texas, upon which t axes has
not been paid, for the years 1910, 1911, 1912, 1913,
1914, 19150 19169 1917* 1916. 1919 and 192D, fixing
the rate for each of such yeare, adopting the General
Laws of the Staterespecting pe4(alties and interest

trpon such assessments if not paid before February
10 19M, and declaring an emergency:
Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of
Lubbock, Texans.
Section 1. Whereas, it has come to the knowledge
of the City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas,
that the tax rook for the years 1910, 1911, 1912, 1913, 1914,
19159 19160 1917. 1916, 1919 and 1930 were not verified
by the assessor, as required by law, which renders this
City unable to enforce collection of such taxes, it
is made the immediate duty of the City Secretary of
the City of Lubbock, Texas, to assess all tle taxable
property within this City for the years aforesaid, now U4F&ids
upon rolls duly made out and verified, and it is hereby
declared that as to all such property upon which taxes have
not been made shall be considered as unrendered property,

andsame shall be assessed at its fair valuations ofIh�e d

Bectionj. That fact there is no valid assessment
for suah unpaid property for the said years, and that
because of same this City is unable to collect the
taxes thereon, creates an emergency and imperative
necessity that the rule of the charter which regu�rea
an ordinate to be presented at two several meeting$ be
suspended, and that this ordinance shall be passed
at the meeting of its introduction, and it is so
ordered.

STATE RESPECTING PENALTIES AND INTEREST UPON SUCH ASSESSMENTS IF NOT
PAID BEFORE FEBRUARY 1, 19229 AND DECLARING AN EMGENCYs
HE IT ORDAIMM BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXASr
SECTION 1. whereas, It has come to the knowledge of the City

Section 2. The General Laws of This state respecting penalties and interest
on Taxes not paid prior to February let -are adopted.
Section 3. That tact there is no valid assessment for such unpaid property
for the said years; and that because of same this City to unable to collect
the taxes thereon creates an emergency and imperative necessity that the
rule of the Charter which requires an Ordinance to be presented at two several
meetings be suspended and thAt this Ordinance shall be passed at the meeting
of its introduction#,nd it is so ordered.
